How To Watch Netflix’s ‘Receiver’: Streaming Info, Time, Premiere Date, and More for the WR Docuseries

With the show releasing soon, find out how to watch Netflix's "Receiver" docuseries, including streaming info, time, premiere date, and more.

After the series “Quarterback” gained massive popularity last year following Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, Netflix is running it back. This time, however, the show will feature receivers. Here’s how to watch Netflix’s “Receiver.”

What Is “Receiver” And Who Is Featured?

While “Quarterback” followed three different quarterbacks on and off the field, “Receiver” features five different receivers: Davante Adams, George Kittle, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Deebo Samuel Sr., and Justin Jefferson.

Fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at each player’s season as well as a glimpse into their family life at home.

“As we did with ‘Quarterback’, we look forward to telling the stories of five incredible receivers, each with their unique personality, skill set, and motivation for what drives them to be the best,” said NFL legend Peyton Manning, the show’s executive producer.

The show did try to do another “Quarterback” but was unable to find enough willing participants to make it happen.

How To Watch “Receiver”: Channel, Start Time, and Streaming Options

    • Release Date: July 10
    • Streaming Options: Netflix

The series was produced exclusively for Netflix, so that’s the only place fans can watch the show. Netflix can be accessed on smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, laptops, and streaming devices. With a subscription, you can watch the show pretty much anywhere.

There’s no specific release time on July 10, meaning the show will likely release at midnight PT. Additionally, all eight episodes of the docuseries will be released at once, allowing fans to binge-watch it on Day 1.

If you don’t have Netflix, subscription plans start at $6.99 per month with ads. However, if you want to binge-watch the show with no ads, subscriptions start at $15.49. Additionally, you can get an ad-free 4K plan for $22.99 per month.

    Top Storylines To Watch

What are some of the top storylines to pay attention to surrounding each player?

    49ers’ Super Bowl Run

With the series following Kittle and Samuel Sr., fans will get an inside look into the San Francisco 49ers‘ run to the Super Bowl, as well as their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. You’ll also get the perspective of a tight end, not just wide receivers (which is likely the reason the show is called just receiver and not wide receiver).

The Lions’ Historic Season and Playoff Run

They’ll also follow St. Brown, who signed an at-the-time record-breaking deal this past offseason, though it’s likely the contract was agreed upon after the series finished filming. St. Brown, who’s the third-highest-paid receiver now, is making $30,002,500 per year.

He was a key part of the Detroit Lions‘ historic season and playoff run, something fans will have the opportunity to look at from the inside.

    Justin Jefferson’s Injuries

Similar to St. Brown, Jefferson signed a historic deal that made him the highest-paid receiver in NFL history. He currently makes $35 million per year, $3 million higher than the next highest-paid player at his position.

However, he struggled with injuries in 2023, and fans will get a first-hand look into how he handled that mentally and physically.

    Raiders’ Coaching Change

Finally, there’s Adams, who had to handle the adversity of a struggling team, a fired head coach, and the emergence of Antonio Pierce. At 8-9, the Las Vegas Raiders had the second-worst record of all the teams included, ahead of only the 7-10 Minnesota Vikings. Both teams missed the playoffs, ending their stories early. It’ll be interesting to watch the coaching turnover and see Pierce attempt to turn around the culture.
