With 32 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft in the books, who’s ready for another 73 picks less than 24 hours later? While all eight teams without a Day 1 appearance will make a selection, three will have to wait longer than others. How to watch Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft
A record eight teams watched the other 24 make selections in the first round. Through various trades, the Bears, Browns, Broncos, Colts, Raiders, Rams, Dolphins, and 49ers all sent their first-round selections for multiple picks and players over the past few seasons.
On Day 2, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Indianapolis, and San Francisco join the fun in the second round. The Las Vegas Raiders will not make a pick in their hometown until pick 86 in the third round after trading for WR Davante Adams. Miami’s clock doesn’t start until pick 102 after its blockbuster offseason trade to acquire WR Tyreek Hill. Miami has not sat out of the first round since the 2003 trade for RB Ricky Williams.
Finally, we reach the Los Angeles Rams. To put things in perspective here, the Rams have not had a first-round pick since drafting QB Jared Goff first overall in 2016. LA sent their 2022 and 2023 first-round picks and Goff to the Lions in the 2021 offseason for QB Matthew Stafford.
Their Madden-esque approach to roster building culminated in a Super Bowl victory last season. Now, they don’t draft until pick 104 in Round 3, the second-to-final selection of the night. Here’s how to watch all the picks on Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft.
