For Cleveland Browns fans, being able to watch Shedeur Sanders take the field as the starting quarterback against the Carolina Panthers will be must-see TV. Sanders got the nod from Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski on Friday night, August 8, in the team’s first NFL preseason game.
Of course, Browns and Panthers fans want to know where they can catch all the action. This anticipated matchup will be on TV, but where and when?
How Can Fans Watch Cleveland Browns vs. Carolina Panthers Game?
The Browns, who are looking to rebound from a 3-14 season in 2024, will visit Bank of America Stadium and play the Panthers (5-12 in 2024). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern, and the game will be shown on the NFL Network.
Sanders, the former Colorado Buffaloes standout quarterback, fell in the 2025 NFL Draft all the way to the fifth round. He was projected as a first-round pick, but that did not happen.

He has been dealing with some arm soreness, but Stefanski is not worried about Sanders. Stefanski has made it clear that most of the game against the Panthers will be played by the Browns’ backups.
The Browns have been in the midst of a quarterback battle, with Sanders, of course, a part of it. Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and the recently signed Tyler Huntley are vying for roster spots. Flacco is probably going to make the Opening Day roster, so the rest of them are scrambling for open roles.
Who Is Listed on Injury Report for Browns and Panthers?
According to the latest injury updates from ESPN, Gabriel and Pickett are listed as questionable. Gabriel (hamstring) was held out of 11-on-11 drills on Wednesday, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Pickett (hamstring) did take part in 7-on-7 drills during Wednesday’s practice, according to Cabot.
Cornerback Greg Newsome II and wide receiver David Bell are also on the injury list, but both players are estimated to be ready for the preseason matchup.
As for the Panthers, cornerback Jaycee Horn, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, linebacker Nic Scourton, and guard Chandler Zavala are all listed as questionable. Much like some Browns players, though, Renfrow, Scourton, and Zavala are estimated to be available to face Cleveland.
Panthers head coach Dave Canales said on Wednesday that Horn (thumb)Â is considered day-to-day, according to Steve Reed of the Associated Press. Renfrow (hamstring) has resumed running but isn’t yet back at practice, according to Reed.
Stefanski and Canales will get a chance to see how their current rosters are shaping up. Browns fans will intently watch Sanders’ every pass. He’s gunning for a roster spot right now, and Sanders will get a chance to show off what he’s been learning in training camp.
