San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers Inactives
Note that the full inactive list is released by teams 90 minutes before kickoff. This list will be updated at that time.
Jaire Alexander, CB
Alexander (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the 49ers. He initially injured his knee near the end of the Packers’ Week 8 win in Jacksonville. After sitting out Week 9 against the Lions, he was cleared to return following the team’s Week 10 bye, but he lasted just 10 snaps on defense before exiting early from this past Sunday’s contest at Chicago.
Alexander revealed Thursday that he’s tending to a “tear on my PCL” that may result in more missed games, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Alexander isn’t a candidate for injured reserve, though, meaning he currently isn’t expected to be sidelined for three more outings beyond Week 12.
Edgerrin Cooper, LB
Cooper (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game against the 49ers. Cooper has logged at least 60 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the last five games. Quay Walker and Isaiah McDuffie will likely handed linebacker duties Sunday with Cooper out. Cooper’s next chance to play will be in six days on Thanksgiving against the Dolphins.
Josh Jacobs, RB
Week 14 Status: PLAYING
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is battling a quad injury and was limited for practice every practice this week.
Fortunately, the Packers removed Jacobs from their injury report on Friday. He has no designation and will play in Week 12.
This is the same issue that limited Jacobs for the club’s first two practices entering Week 11. Fortunately, he fully practiced last Friday, was removed from Green Bay’s injury report, and didn’t have a designation for Sunday’s win over the Bears.
Jacobs took 18 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown against Chicago, adding four catches for 58 yards. He’s finished as a top-five fantasy RB in two of Green Bay’s last three games.
Jacobs was dealing with an ankle injury in Week 9 before Green Bay went on bye. He was listed as questionable but ultimately suited up.
MarShawn Lloyd, RB
MarShawn Lloyd just cannot catch a break. The third-round rookie hoped to return in Week 11 after missing time with hamstring and ankle injuries. However, he woke up with appendicitis last Friday and couldn’t play on Sunday.
On Wednesday, the Packers put Lloyd on the non-football injury list. He’ll have to miss at least four games but can return this season.
Evan Williams, S
Williams (hamstring) was a full practice participant in Friday’s session and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday’s game against the 49ers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers’ official site reports.
Williams returned in Week 11 from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury. After starting the week with consecutive limited practices, Williams finished off strong with a full session Friday and will be good to go for Week 12. The rookie fourth-round safety has logged 34 tackles (23 solo), three pass defenses (including one interception) and one forced fumble over nine regular-season games.
