‘Most NFL Teams Like Shedeur’ – Former LSU Analyst Defends Shedeur Sanders Against Media Negativity

NFL Draft analyst Keith Sanchez denied reports calling Shedeur Sanders brash, arrogant and unprofessional.

Some concerning reports have surfaced about Shedeur Sanders’ behavior during interviews at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback was rumored to have come across as “arrogant” and “brash” during a meeting with a team drafting inside the top seven in the 2025 NFL Draft.

As a result, multiple scouts and analysts have reportedly dropped Sanders from their first-round projections, despite him being considered one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class alongside Miami’s Cam Ward.

LSU Analyst Pushes Back on ‘Arrogant’ Shedeur Sanders Reports

Amid these rumors, several scouts and analysts who attended the combine have spoken out to refute claims about Sanders’ alleged attitude.

Among them is NFL Draft analyst and former LSU staffer Keith Sanchez, who posted on X:

“The negative Shedeur Sanders talk is mostly media driven. Was in Indiana last week and feel confident in saying that most NFL teams like Shedeur a lot more than what is portrayed !!!”

Shedeur Sanders Reportedly Came Off as ‘Brash’ and ‘Unprofessional’ at the NFL Combine

NFL insider Josina Anderson was among the first to report that Sanders came across as “brash” and “arrogant” during his combine interviews.

“This is how pre-draft evaluations can get jacked because of evaluators who don’t seemingly possess the discernment to detect intangible traits that are connected to the will and drive to win without being a star, delineated in an analytics report,” Anderson wrote on social media.

Another analyst who reported similar findings was longtime draft expert Todd McShay. He stated that he heard from some teams that they were unimpressed with Sanders’ approach during interviews, calling it “unprofessional.”

“The two people that I spoke to were in meetings and had these individual meetings [with Sanders] … teams in the top 10 drafting that need a quarterback,” McShay said on Monday’s episode of The McShay Show.

“The two people that I spoke to in these positions left the meeting feeling like Shedeur Sanders was not overly concerned with what they thought of him. They had a 15-minute meeting with him, and when they were done, they both said in different ways, different words, they did not feel like Shedeur Sanders cared all that much about what that organization thought of him.”

What’s Next for Sanders?

With conflicting reports about Sanders’ combine demeanor, only time will tell how NFL teams truly view him. If these concerns hold weight, he could slide in the draft and potentially fall out of the first round. However, with some analysts dismissing the rumors as media-driven, teams will ultimately have to rely on their own evaluations.

With the draft approaching, Sanders’ stock remains one of the biggest storylines to follow.
