Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC
Which running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status? The AFC is no stranger to RB injuries, but fortunately, this week is relatively light.
Damien Harris, New England Patriots
After missing Week 10 with a concussion, Damien Harris did not participate in the Patriots’ estimated practice Monday. However, he did return to a limited practice Tuesday. He has not cleared concussion protocol yet, but his odds of playing Thursday are significantly better today than they were yesterday.
Week 11 Fantasy RB Injury Update | NFC
Which other running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status in Week 11? Are the Giants getting their RB1 back?
Saquon Barkley, New York Giants
Saquon Barkley practiced Monday for the first time since spraining his ankle. Coming out of the bye, Giants beat reporter Jordan Raanan said Barkley looks ready to return on Monday Night Football against the Buccaneers.
Art Stapleton of The Record echoed the same sentiment. We’ll know much more when the Giants have their first official weekly practice on Thursday, but all signs point to Barkley playing Monday.
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Jones sustained a mild MCL sprain last week. MCL sprains are typically 4-6 week injuries, but Jones’ appears very minor as he is only expected to miss 1-2 weeks. The Packers have a Week 13 bye, which makes it likely we see Jones return Week 14. AJ Dillon will start this week with Patrick Taylor backing him up.
Elijah Mitchell, San Francisco 49ers
On Tuesday, we learned Elijah Mitchell broke a finger in the 49ers’ win over the Rams on Monday Night Football. By the time you read this, he’s likely already had a minor procedure done.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan believes Mitchell may even be able to practice Wednesday. There’s a chance he plays this week, but if he doesn’t, Jeff Wilson Jr. would almost certainly be San Francisco’s lead back.
Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons
Cordarrelle Patterson suffered a mild high ankle sprain during Sunday’s blowout loss to the Cowboys. The running back/wide receiver hybrid got in a limited practice Tuesday, which is certainly a pleasant surprise. It puts him on track to play on Thursday Night Football after all indications were that he would miss the contest.
