The fantasy football championships are in full swing, and with the spotlight on quarterbacks, here are our Week 17 fantasy QB rankings and some streamers to consider.
Top QB Streamers for Week 17
While not in the upper range of our fantasy football rankings, these quarterbacks could be intriguing streaming options in Week 17, as they likely outperform the expectations of many.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
I feel for the Mr. Irrevelants that will come in the future, as they’re all going to be compared to Brock Purdy for his play this year. Purdy completed 15 of his 22 pass attempts for 234 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Week 16 victory versus Washington.
His 234 yards are a new high, and his two scores now extend his multi-touchdown game streak to four in a row. The QB18 in Week 13, Purdy has finished as the QB8, QB14, and QB13 over his last three, and that’s even accounting for Week 16, where he didn’t even rely on Christian McCaffrey to generate YAC for him.
Las Vegas, meanwhile, is 25th in DVOA since Week 10, 27th in points allowed, and since Week 11, 17th in EPA and 15th in success rate. Purdy is a high-end QB2 streamer for Week 17 fantasy lineups.

Gardner Minshew, Philadelphia Eagles
I mean, come on, was there ever any doubt Gardner Minshew wouldn’t come out and play with his hair on fire? While Philadelphia did lose to Dallas, it’s hard to pin it all on Minshew, who went 24 of 40 for 355 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while scoring another touchdown on the ground.
Even those picks weren’t truly on Minshew, as both were pretty much on target, and Quez Watkins basically had the ball taken from him. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the defender who made one heck of a play. After all they are paid millions of dollars for a reason.
Jalen Hurts will assuredly try to get back for Week 17, but if he can’t, Minshew would be a high-end QB2 streamer against a Saints defense that is nowhere near as aggressive. Minshew winning fantasy championships just feels right.
Mike White, New York Jets
Mike White is back, and it could not have come at a better time for fantasy managers who snuck into their fantasy football championships. White (ribs) was cleared by doctors on Monday and will re-take the starting job after missing the last two games against Detroit and Jacksonville.
In Weeks 12 through 15, when White was the starter, he was the QB10 in fantasy at 18.3 PPR/game, averaging 43 attempts (third) and 317.3 yards (third), with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

The offense flourished, and guys like Garrett Wilson and Zonovan Knight were must-starts. They’ll be back into must-start territory in Week 17 as White and the Jets take on the Seahawks, who are 29th in success rate, 28th in EPA, 26th in DVOA, and 21st in points allowed. White is a high-end QB2 streamer for fantasy football championships in Week 17.
Baker Mayfield, Los Angeles Rams
Baker Mayfield is going to find a job in the offseason, that much I am sure. His play since joining the Rams has been some of the best ball of his career, given the circumstances. On Sunday against the Broncos, Mayfield was efficient, completing 24 of 28 passing attempts for 230 yards and two touchdowns.
Mayfield will have QB2 upside as a streamer in Week 17 against a Chargers defense that is 18th in points over their last four games and 21st in EPA since Week 10.
Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns
With 12.8 PPR points, Deshaun Watson will finish outside the top 20, but I don’t think it’s quite fair to only look at his finish. Watson completed 15 of his 31 passes for 135 yards and an interception in the -15 degree temps and 30 mph winds while adding three carries for 24 yards and a touchdown. Yet, it should have been more.
Watson should have had a touchdown pass, but a wide open Amari Cooper slipped in the end zone and was unable to hold onto the ball. Add on the additional yardage and touchdown points, and Watson realistically should have finished as the QB13 at worst with just over 17 PPR points.
With QB30, QB14, and QB21 finishes, the perception of Watson after a QB13-ish outing vs. another QB21+ would be drastically different. Washington is a difficult matchup, but Watson is starting to figure things out, and if you need a streamer in 2QB or 14+ team leagues, I could see taking a flier on Watson and betting on the upside we know he has in him.
