Week 3 of the fantasy football season was one for the record books, with some new QBs taking over and some more injuries to big-name stars. This means your lineup might need some help going into tonight’s game between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins. Here are some last-minute adjustments to keep an eye on heading into the Monday Night Football game.
Fantasy Football: MNF Lineup Changes (Week 3)
Chicago at Washington
QB: Mitchell Trubisky > Case Keenum
RB: David Montgomery > Adrian Peterson > Tarik Cohen > Mike Davis > Chris Thompson
WR: Allen Robinson > Terry McLaurin > Anthony Miller > Trey Quinn
TE: Trey Burton > Vernon Davis
This game isn’t full of studs like other weeks might be, giving you some flexibility to shoot for the stars in some spots. This list above is ordered from least to most risky at each position. Obviously, if you’re up in your matchup, or are in a close one, then going into tonight’s game you want the least amount of risk possible. But if you’re losing big and need to shoot for the stars, consider moving to the right where you can.
This doesn’t mean you should automatically bench the guys on the left side of the scale. Rather, adding some risk might make sense given your specific matchup. Odds are you’re starting guys like Montgomery and Robinson without a doubt, and even second-tier players like Cohen and Peterson will likely stay in your lineups. But if you’re looking for upside, consider players like Miller or Quinn. They have the potential for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns, so weigh the pros and cons before you make your decision.
You could even argue that starting Keenum over Trubisky could prove advantageous if they are playing from behind at home. Keenum might be on the waiver wire, and Trubisky hasn’t been playing well at all, so it might even make sense to drop Trubisky for Keenum and go all out on the narrative tonight. That doesn’t make sense for most matchups, of course, and is definitely a larger risk than most will take tonight.
