Knowing which kickers to start in fantasy football can be critical to winning your matchups. This position, arguably more so than any other, is matchup dependent on a weekly basis, and the best results can be obtained by being flexible with a streaming strategy. Here’s a look at our Week 12 fantasy kicker rankings and the top options to stream this week.
Week 12 Kicker Rankings for Fantasy Football
The rankings below are from Senior Fantasy Analyst Tommy Garrett. For analysis on our top kicker streamers for Week 12, scroll past the table. If you want another way to apply this advice, believe it or not, Underdog Fantasy often has kicker pick’ems in addition to the usual array of skill-position players.
The table is best viewed in landscape on mobile devices and can be sorted using the filters above the table.
Top Week 12 Kicker Streamers
Here are my top fantasy kicker streamers, all of whom are rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues.
Chase McLaughlin, Indianapolis Colts (vs. PIT)
If your strategy for streaming kickers is to just look at Yahoo projections and go with the highest one, then you probably wouldn’t land on any of the kickers in this article.
My first kicker streamer is Chase McLaughlin. He just fits the process really well. The Colts are small home favorites against a bad Steelers defense. McLaughlin has attempted multiple field goals in all but one game this season. While he’s missed four field goals on the season, we chase the attempts.
The Colts have the ideal offense to stream their kicker. They’re good enough to get into scoring position, but not so good that they consistently finish drives with touchdowns.
Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers (at ARI)
It’s fascinating how the fantasy community views a backup kicker. I get not really paying attention to a team’s backup kicker. Most of the time, kickers that aren’t starters aren’t particularly good at kicking. Cameron Dicker, however, is very good at kicking.
The rookie has attempted multiple field goals in every game he’s played this season. He hasn’t missed a single kick, including extra points.
The Chargers have a very good offense capable of consistently getting into scoring position, leading to opportunities for Dicker.

The Cardinals entered Week 11 allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to kickers. Dustin Hopkins didn’t practice at all last week as he works his way back from a strained hamstring.
Given how well Dicker has kicked, the Chargers have no reason to rush their own DHop back. Of course, if he does return, then he’s worth streaming as well. Basically, stream the Chargers’ kicker.
Note: On Tuesday, the Chargers signed Dicker to the active roster and placed Hopkins on IR. Dicker will likely be the Chargers’ kicker for the remainder of the season. If you stream him this week, just keep him and start him every week. He’s that good.
Joey Slye, Washington Commanders (vs. ATL)
If you search by all kickers, you actually have to go to the next page to find Joey Slye’s name on Yahoo. That’s how under the radar this streaming recommendation is.
Matchups matter. If the Commanders are playing an opponent with an elite defense, we don’t want their kicker because they’re not likely to score much. This week, however, the Commanders are playing the Falcons.
The Falcons entered Week 11 allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to kickers. Overall, they allow 25 points per game.
Teams can move the ball against Atlanta. Additionally, Slye has been pretty good lately. He’s only missed two field goals on the season, both in the 40-49 yard range. More importantly, he’s kicked seven field goals over his last two games — both Washington victories.
The Commanders may not beat the Falcons, but they’re unlikely to get blown out. Slye should be good for at least two opportunities this week, if not more. He’s a great streaming option.
