Hunter is fueling his Heisman hype, too. On Friday, Nov. 15, Hunter launched an advertisement presenting himself as a legitimate Heisman front-runner.

In the video posted on his Instagram, Hunter proudly posed in his Colorado uniform for action-packed clips, stating,”My mindset on the field, nobody can beat me. I’m the best on the field. Continue to work and dominate whoever’s in front of you.”

The 30-second clip ended with an epic shot where Hunter is lined up against himself, and a “HE12MAN” logo appears. Cleverly, Hunter’s jersey number 12 replaces the “IS” in Heisman within the logo.

Despite the creativity and power of the advertisement, fans were divided. Some rooted for Hunter, while others felt the Colorado star went a bit over the top with this new ad.

One fan tweeted, “Never seen someone beg for Heisman.”

Another social media user mentioned, “I’ve never seen a player advertise themselves for the Heisman 😭😭😭😭 he’s really begging for it.”

A football enthusiast said, “Completely unnecessary lol. He don’t got to say s*** honestly.”

Someone else expressed, “Lmao this man is thirsty as hell.”

On the other side of the coin, Hunter’s devoted fan base came through with enthusiastic support, flooding him with heartwarming praises. Fans couldn’t get enough of his look, hyping up his bold style and already buzzing with excitement for Colorado’s next showdown against the Utah Utes in Week 12.

One fan mentioned, “That white helmet with the gold face mask goes crazy!”

Another one commented, “White with the gold face mask is crazy.”

Someone else stated, “Why the heck haven’t they worn this yet? This look is fire.”

Another social media user expressed, “At 1st I was like ‘oh that’s tight, good job’…Then he lined up AGAINST himself!!!”

One more commented, “That final shot.”

Another football enthusiast mentioned, “Him lining up against himself is such a flex.”

With three games left in the season, the Buffaloes are being considered legitimate playoff contenders. But even if Colorado reaches the Big 12 Championship Game, Hunter could be a strong favorite for the Heisman Trophy. In order for that to happen, though, the Buffaloes must win their next three games against Utah, Kansas, and Oklahoma State.
