Miami Dolphins UDFA Signings and Rookie Minicamp Invites: Dates, Notable Prospects, and More

When is the Miami Dolphins' rookie minicamp session, and which draft picks, UDFA signings, and minicamp invites will be in attendance?

Despite only having four selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins will have a crowded rookie minicamp — largely on account of their work in the undrafted free agent market. Last cycle, the Dolphins scored big in the UDFA pool with Kader Kohou. Can they do it again?

Which UDFAs Did the Dolphins Sign? Contracts and Notable Names

There are several notable contract values to discuss when going over this UDFA class. Ethan Bonner got one of the largest deals of the group, featuring $80,000 in guaranteed money. Brandon Pili, meanwhile, received $90,000 in guaranteed money, with a $10,000 signing bonus included.

Elsewhere, center Alama Uluave received a $55,000 guaranteed salary, complete with a $10,000 signing bonus. James Blackman received $10,000 guaranteed, with a $2,000 signing bonus. And Daewood Davis was given a $5,000 signing bonus as well.

Beyond that group, there are other Dolphins UDFA who carry intrigue in the roster discussion. For a team in need of more established EDGE depth, Zeke Vandenburgh, Mitchell Agude, and Garrett Nelson all stand out. Vandenburgh, in particular, was very productive at the FCS level, with 14 sacks and 21 TFLs in 2022.

There’s also room for Miami to improve its TE depth, and that’s an equation Julian Hill could find himself being a part of. The Campbell product caught 38 passes for 659 yards and five scores in 2022 and registered a 4.68 40-yard dash, 34.5″ vertical, and 10’2″ broad jump at his pro day, at around 6’4″, 247 pounds.

Other UDFA prospects to watch for the Dolphins include Aubrey Miller Jr., Bennett Williams, Christopher Brooks, James Tunstall, Jarrett Horst, Keidron Smith, and Latavious Brini.

Who Will Be Attending the Dolphins’ Rookie Minicamp?

  • Eric Abojei, G, Wyoming
  • Aidan Borguet, RB, Harvard
  • Datrone Young, CB, Duke

In addition to the Dolphins’ draft picks and undrafted free agent signees, the three players above will also take part in Miami’s rookie minicamp. Eric Abojei, Aidan Borguet, and Datrone Young all received invites to the event, where they’ll have a chance to earn a 90-man roster spot.

Abojei is a massive 6’4″, 355-pound guard with 35 1/2″ arms and a seven-foot wingspan. Borguet is a dense, compact rushing threat at 5’8″, 205 pounds, who ran a 4.58 at his pro day and amassed 1,182 yards and 10 scores in 2022. Young, meanwhile, is an explosive, undersized cover man who notched 14 deflections in a five-year collegiate career.
