The Chicago Bears haven’t been great the last few years, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t had any good players. One of the players that has been an absolute star has been wide receiver DJ Moore, who was traded to the team from the Carolina Panthers.
Thanks to his long, successful career, Moore has acquired quite a bit of money. What is his net worth and salary?
DJ Moore’s Contract and Net Worth
While Moore’s net worth isn’t widely known, his career earnings are.
According to Spotrac, heading into 2024, Moore has made just over $75.5 million over the course of his seven-year NFL career.
Moore is making $27.5 million a year as part of a new contract he signed ahead of the 2024 season. The total value of his deal is $110 million over four years, with $43.65 million guaranteed at signing and $81.525 million guaranteed in total.
Taken 24th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Moore started his NFL career on a four-year, $11.17 million contract that was fully guaranteed. He signed a three-year, $61.88 million extension upon the end of his rookie deal.
However, after five seasons with the Panthers that saw him catch 364 passes for 5,201 yards and 21 touchdowns, Moore was traded to the Bears ahead of the 2023 season. Moore was part of a deal that sent the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Panthers.
Moore’s latest deal adds four years to the remaining four from his deal with the Panthers. As it stands, he is locked in through the 2029 season and will not be a free agent until 2030, when he will be 33 years old.
What earned Moore his big-time extension was how he’s performed since being traded to Chicago. In 2023, he caught 96 passes for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns.
After being traded from Carolina to Chicago, Moore sold his Charlotte, N.C., home for $1.37 million. The home was a five-bedroom, 4,498-square-foot house.
In addition to his contract value, Moore has made an unknown amount through endorsement deals. He also makes some through jersey sales and trading card deals with other companies.
