The Chicago Bears watched one of their best offensive weapons go down in Week 8 while changed in a tight game against the Washington Commanders.
Bears wide receiver DJ Moore left Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter after taking a big hit. Here’s the latest on Moore’s injury status.
What Happened to Bears WR DJ Moore in Week 8?
Moore stayed down on the field after catching a 27-yard pass from Bears quarterback Caleb Williams with roughly eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. He was on his stomach in pain after taking a hit from Commanders safety Quan Martin.
After receiving attention from Chicago’s medical staff, Moore slowly walked to the Bears’ sideline and entered the medical tent for evaluation.

Fortunately, Moore returned to the game when the Bears’ offense took over with 4:21 left in the fourth. Chicago never announced specifics on Moore’s injury or assigned him an injury designation.
Moore entered Week 8 with 31 receptions on 47 targets for 314 yards and three touchdowns. He posted his best game of the season against the Carolina Panthers — his former team — in Week 5, hauling in five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy Implications of Moore’s Injury
After a quiet afternoon, Moore made a couple of nice plays on the Bears’ mid-fourth quarter drive while they attempted to take the lead. Unfortunately, Moore was banged up on one of them.
If Moore misses time, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze will be the starters in two receiver sets. We could also see Cole Kmet involved a little more, as he was during the games Allen missed earlier in the year.
Williams did not play his best against the Commanders, but Allen and Odunze would be in weekly WR3 territory if Moore is out of action.
