As the Chicago Bears struggled offensively to start Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, DJ Moore headed to the medical tent following a third-down conversion for the Bears’ offense.

In his first start alongside rookie Caleb Williams, Moore’s day was seemingly in jeopardy after just two receptions for 12 yards.

Moore went down hard, falling out of bounds while making a catch. He immediately removed his helmet and looked to be slow to get up. He eventually did and made his way to the Bears’ sideline.

Luckily, the feared injury proved to be nothing major given his ability to walk off on his own and his eventual return. Moore returned a few plays later and finished the game with a game-high five receptions for 36 yards.

Last season, Moore played all 17 games, finishing the year with the most yards in his career (1,364).

    Fantasy Analysis

Moore was projected to be the leading man of this talented Bears WR trio entering the 2024 NFL season and has accounted for 25 of Williams’ 38 passes through the first 28 minutes of action.

If all three receivers in Chicago stay healthy throughout the year, it could be tough to count on the dominating 28.9% target share Moore saw last year in this offense. But should Moore miss any time, expect both Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze’s role to expand significantly with him out of the equation.

Other beneficiaries of a potential Moore absence could be Cole Kmet and D’Andre Swift.
