    Diontae Johnson posted one of the best games of his NFL career in Week 3, but the veteran wideout was limited heading into the Carolina Panthers‘ Week 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    Johnson went down early in the third quarter of Sunday’s contest.

    Johnson was injured on a first-down play midway through the third quarter. While it wasn’t immediately clear what happened to him, Johnson received attention from the Panthers’ medical staff after the play.

    Fortunately, Johnson quickly got up and jogged to Carolina’s sideline. He returned to the game after missing one offensive snap.

    Johnson had hauled in five catches for 54 yards before going down.

    Johnson popped up on the Panthers’ injury report with a midweek groin injury. He didn’t practice on Thursday and was limited on Friday but remained optimistic about suiting up for Week 4.

    Johnson was held to under 20 receiving yards with Bryce Young working as Carolina’s starting quarterback but thrived once Andy Dalton took over in Week 3. Johnson caught 10 passes for a career-high 122 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
