The clip featured his father, Deion Sanders, leading the charge, with the team cheering close behind. Later, it also showed Shedeur Sanders visibly amping himself up, sitting on the ground as Deion senior gave him a quick shoulder pat, showing support.
The Buffaloes held their ground, waiting for the Red Raiders’ entry show to end before making their own energized entrance, setting the tone for the intense game that lay ahead.
Deion Jr. captioned the tweet: “I knew they was ready.”

The excitement Deion Jr. captured in that pre-game clip was a preview of what was to come on the field. Colorado stormed back from a slow start, flipping the script to secure a 41-27 victory over Texas Tech and extending its winning streak to three games.
Shedeur Sanders, once again, delivered a standout performance, completing 30 of 43 passes for 291 yards. He was backed by Travis Hunter, who notched nine catches for 99 yards and a touchdown, while Shilo contributed with a clutch fumble recovery in the end zone during the game’s final moments.
Coach Prime praised the team’s resilience, acknowledging the slow start but commending their second-half surge. Deion Jr. knew the Buffaloes were ready, and they proved it with another win, pushing their record to an impressive 7-2.
Shedeur Sanders Dodged a ‘Tortilla Situation’ in Lubbock
On Saturday, the Buffaloes faced more than just the Red Raiders. They had to dodge a barrage of tortillas tossed onto the field by Texas Tech fans.
The bizarre ritual dates back to the 1980s, when fans began throwing tortillas after an ESPN announcer remarked that Lubbock had “nothing but Texas Tech football and a tortilla factory.”
Fast-forward to today, this disruptive tradition among Red Raiders supporters still continues. Colorado took the situation in full stride, putting the tortillas into the spotlight. Shedeur signed a tortilla thrown at them, turning an odd tradition into a unique keepsake.

Hunter also played the fun, tucking a stray tortilla into his pants mid-game. In addition, Coach Sanders voiced his frustration after the game, as the barrage included more than tortillas — fans also threw bottles and other items onto the field.
Texas Tech’s head coach, Joey McGuire, eventually had to ask fans over the stadium microphone to stop the antics.

But even amid the tortilla showers, the Buffs powered through to a 41-27 win and hoisted the Colorado flag high at Jones AT&T Stadium.
