“There will be reports coming out of Vegas that Davante Adams will want out” – Radio Personality Predicts Davante Adams Will Join Aaron Rodgers as a New York Jet

The potential of an Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams reunion isn't out of the question, one radio personality said Thursday.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are going into their second season of separation. Only this time, Rodgers is in the same conference. And the thought of the two pairing up one more time still hasn’t rested. In fact, one radio personality made a bold guarantee on Thursday morning — the two will reunite with the New York Jets.

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers Reuniting with the New York Jets?

Radio personality Craig Carton — who has been criticized by many fans before for his bold predictions — strongly predicted on “The Carton Show” that there will soon be stories about Adams wanting out of the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I guarantee you there will be reports coming out of Vegas that Davante Adams will want out,” Carton said. “And guess where he would want to go?”

The Jets got blurted out by co-host Tim Hardaway.

Is Adams Tradeable or Already a Longshot With His Hefty Contract?

Obviously, this is a spicy rumbling, though it’s not new.

Adams was rumored to be displeased about the direction the Raiders were going following an in-depth article from The Ringer, which detailed his reaction to the franchise parting ways with his longtime friend and college teammate Derek Carr while also sharing details of what he’s seen from Jimmy Garoppolo.

“It proved that I am me,” Adams told The Ringer. “A quarterback doesn’t make me. … I make me. And I can do it consistently at this level.

“That’s why [last] season meant a lot. Even if I went and played like dog s— next year, they can’t say it. Because now I’ve already proved it throughout the course of a season, played every game, and put together a résumé that says I do not need. … You can erase all the numbers. You can just write in: He didn’t need Aaron Rodgers.”

Adams, though, has spent the aftermath of that article clarifying his words and insists he’s all-in on being a Raider.

Say the Jets do make the aggressive gamble to make a run at Adams … they would likely need him to do what Rodgers recently did: Restructure his contract to make it more salary cap friendly. Rodgers is now on a two-year deal worth $75 million as the Jets reworked his previous Packers contract Tuesday.

Adams, meanwhile, is in the second year of his five-year, $140 million deal he signed with the Silver and Black.

Still, thoughts of Adams and Rodgers together for one more run still haven’t flamed out. And Carton has reignited those flames.
