On ESPN’s “Get Up,” former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky confidently predicted who the Cleveland Browns will select with the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The bold take fuels the growing speculation around top prospects and how the first few picks will play out.

Generational Talent Meets a Franchise in Need
During a “Fact or Fiction” segment, host Mike Greenberg asked Orlovsky if the New York Giants drafting Travis Hunter at No. 3 was fact or fiction. Orlovsky didn’t hesitate.
“The Cleveland Browns are gonna draft him at two,” he said.
“Draft Travis Hunter. Play him at wide receiver. He is an insane physical specimen. If you draft him and you’re the Browns, you will have two of the most physically gifted human beings walking planet Earth,” referencing Myles Garrett.

Hunter is considered one of the most unique prospects in NFL history. In 2024, he totaled 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense and four interceptions on defense — a rare two-way résumé.
Though most analysts expect Hunter to play corner in the NFL, Orlovsky believes he’d help Cleveland more as a wideout. The Browns need playmakers, and pairing Hunter with Jerry Jeudy could give them a dynamic receiving corps — plus a boost in the secondary if he plays both ways.
Why Hunter Makes Sense for the Cleveland Browns
Many mock drafts have the Browns taking quarterback Shedeur Sanders at No. 2, but Orlovsky thinks they’ll pass on a signal-caller in favor of a game-changing talent. That thinking lines up with recent reports that head coach Kevin Stefanski and GM Andrew Berry have been impressed by Hunter’s athleticism and football IQ.
His versatility could allow the Browns to transform both sides of the ball with one pick.
Hunter has made it clear: he wants to keep playing both ways. At Colorado’s pro day, he even challenged NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “He better say wide receiver and DB,” Hunter joked about his draft-night announcement.
His college career backs up that confidence. He won the Biletnikoff (top receiver) and Bednarik (top defender) Awards, along with the Heisman.
His coach, Deion Sanders, isn’t surprised. “Travis can play both sides of the ball in the NFL,” Sanders said. “The pro game is slow for him because he’s just that good.”
What Happens if the Browns Select Hunter?
If Cleveland takes Hunter at No. 2, it could shift how the league values true two-way players. While some question the sustainability of playing both ways in the pros, Orlovsky believes Hunter is worth the risk.
“This is still a talented roster,” Orlovsky said. “If Cleveland gets Kirk Cousins [via trade] and drafts Travis Hunter at two, I think they immediately become a competitive football team.”
Hunter going second overall would also change things for the Giants at No. 3. With Cam Ward projected to Tennessee, New York might pivot to Sanders or go defense with Penn State star Abdul Carter.
The Giants already have Russell Wilson penciled in as the starter and Jameis Winston behind him. They also boast edge rushers Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Could they take Carter and trade Thibodeaux? Or would they trade down and stockpile picks?
Orlovsky’s prediction energizes Browns fans, who hope the team makes an “easy decision” — drafting one of the most electrifying talents football has ever seen.
