    What Happened to Dalton Kincaid?

Kincaid entered the blue medical tent along Buffalo’s sideline with roughly two minutes remaining in the first half of Week 10. The Bills announced that he is dealing with a knee injury.

Kincaid’s last target came with 53 seconds remaining in the first quarter, when he hauled in a 12-yard pass from quarterback Josh Allen. He’d posted two catches for 24 yards on four targets before departing.

With Kincaid sidelined, Allen found fellow tight end Dawson Knox for a 34-yard gain on Buffalo’s drive before the two-minute warning.

The Bills were already without two of their top three receivers in Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman, both of whom missed Sunday’s game with wrist injuries.

Did Kincaid Return in Week 10?

The Bills initially announced that Kincaid was questionable to return on Sunday due to his knee injury.

He left the medical tent just before halftime. Kincaid was sporting a knee brace but was wearing his helmet. He seemingly tested his knee by jogging along Buffalo’s sideline but subsequently departed for the club’s locker room with a trainer.

He came out after halftime and re-entered the game on Buffalo’s first third-quarter drive. Allen and Kincaid couldn’t connect on a 3rd-and-9 attempt on that series, forcing the Bills to punt.

The Bills subsequently downgraded Kincaid to doubtful near the start of the fourth quarter. He played just two snaps, and his final play — the third-down incompletion — came with 9:45 remaining in the third quarter.

ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg reported that Kincaid was walking on the sideline wearing a baseball hat instead of his helmet. Moreover, the pants on his left leg were rolled up to his braced knee.

“Thought I could go then just didn’t feel good enough to run and be able to go out there and protect myself,” Kincaid explained after the game before adding that he isn’t sure the extent of his injury.

Kincaid’s Week 11 status is now in question. The Bills will face the Kansas City Chiefs in a critical AFC battle next Sunday. Kincaid’s practice participation will be worth watching leading up to next week’s showdown.

    Fantasy Impact of Kincaid’s Injury

Kincaid was the early beneficiary of Buffalo missing its top two receivers, as he matched a career-high with four first-quarter targets. Still, his injury left him on the sideline during the second quarter.

Samuel was more involved early in Week 10 due to the WR injuries, and it would stand to reason that he could gain some value along with Knox. But neither offers the type of upside that makes them exciting fantasy options in most situations.

Should this injury linger, Cooper’s value could trend toward a WR1, and Coleman might be a strong Flex option — assuming, of course, both are recovered from their wrist injuries.
