The biggest highlights from practice were when Collins and Wilson rejoined the Cowboys for their first practice back in Dallas.

Both players have a history with the team, so they returned to the Cowboys’ field for the first time since their departures.

Collins wore No. 72 on his jersey, and Wilson wore No. 45.

As the Cowboys prepare for the wet conditions at FedEx Field, the tight ends were spotted working with Lunda Wells on wet ball drills.

This is a typical drill they do when preparing for an outdoor game.

DT Johnathan Hankins

Mike McCarthy said Johnathan Hankins “looked good so far” this week ahead of Thursday’s practice.

Hankins returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since injuring his ankle in Week 15.

Two consecutive days of limited work could indicate that things are looking up for Hankins to return sooner rather than later.

OL Tyler Smith

As for Tyler Smith, McCarthy said the second-year player is “making progress.”

His availability will depend on how much Smith can do on Saturday before the team departs for Washington.

Smith is working through a torn plantar fascia, a tear in his foot.

On Wednesday, he was seen at practice working on resistance ropes with Britt Brown.

The added depth with Collins could come into play if the Cowboys feel like he is in game shape.
