The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs is upon us, which means there are just a few games remaining in the season. Time is limited to capitalize on fantasy football and betting value. Here at Pro Football Network, we’re diving into each individual player taking the field this weekend and seeing what values might exist. Today, we’ll look at Cole Beasley’s DFS value and whether any prop bets are worth taking.
Cole Beasley’s DFS value vs. Chiefs
Beasley checks in at $4,000 on the DraftKings weekend slate. He’s more expensive than Isaiah McKenzie ($3,500) and just $600 cheaper than Gabriel Davis. I would expect Beasley to be seldom-rostered this weekend. That’s about the best argument I can give for using him. Simply put, there’s little value to be had in using Beasley in DFS.
The matchup is certainly there for Buffalo wide receivers. They face a Chiefs defense that allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. This game also has the highest total of the weekend at 54 points. A shootout is likely.

Unfortunately for Beasley, his production is predicated on volume. With the rise of Davis and McKenzie, that volume is gone. Beasley has averaged a sub-50% snap share over his past four games. Last week against the Patriots, he played a season-low 30% of the snaps (excluding Week 10, where he left with an injury).
Beasley has hit double-digit PPR fantasy points just once in his past nine games. He has a low floor and a low ceiling — fade Beasley in DFS lineups this week.
Cole Beasley prop bets this weekend
Beasley’s receiving yards total opened at 28.5 (-115) on DraftKings. Generally, I prefer betting unders compared to overs, but I also don’t like taking unders in high-scoring games. This is a number Beasley has exceeded nine times this season. However, he’s failed to reach it in three consecutive games.
Last week, Josh Allen may have thrown for 308 yards and 5 touchdowns, but he attempted just 25 passes. I’m expecting him to need to throw a lot more this week, which concerns me when considering betting Beasley’s receiving yards under. As a result, I’m staying away here.

In general, Beasley is too volatile of a player right now to feel confident in any props. Last week, the Bills used McKenzie in a gadget role and also in Beasley’s role as the underneath man. It kind of came out of nowhere. If it happens again, Beasley will likely go under his receiving props.
At the same time, we could just as easily see Beasley featured in the Bills’ game plan and peppered with short targets. The situation is highly unpredictable. There are better bets to make this week.
