Ciara Wilson might have been at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards, but her attention was firmly divided between fashion and football. Decked out in style, the 39-year-old singer didn’t let her glam-filled night keep her from rooting for her husband Russell Wilson as his Pittsburgh Steelers took on the New York Giants in prime time.
Vogue even teased that Ciara would have her eyes glued to the showdown — and she didn’t disappoint. In an Instagram story, the “I Bet” singer shared a clip from the awards, showing her screen locked on the game.
“Screen on lock! Fashion and football. Go baby! @dangerusswilson @steelers,” she wrote, bringing fans along for the double-duty night of glitz and gridiron.

As the singing icon supported him, Russell delivered. With 278 yards and a touchdown, completing 20 of his 28 attempts, he set a franchise record for the most passing yards by a Steeler in his first two games (542), breaking Earl Morrall’s 1957 record. Thanks to his wife’s support, who is definitely Russ’ lady luck, and Wilson’s outstanding play, the Steelers celebrated a 26-18 victory over the Giants.
Ciara and Russell Wilson Are Winning at Professional and Personal Lives
Russell and his wife are the ultimate power couple. They balance fame, family, and that unmistakable spark even after 12 years of marriage. Their social media moments are filled with sweet exchanges that show they’re winning at married life.
Just recently, Russell left a flirty comment on his wife’s Instagram post, in which she wore an all-black leather outfit, calling herself his “Lioness.” Wilson hinted at wanting a fifth child, saying, “I’m ready when you are,” and adding, “We can call him Cinco.”

The duo has been open about their family journey, celebrating each milestone with fans. While it has its highs with events like birthdays to first Easters as a family of six, they also take on every task as a family. Ciara even brought the whole crew on tour this summer, saying they had “the time of [their] life” with stars like Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes around.
They seamlessly switch from glitzy events to relatable parenting moments, whether it’s school shopping or juggling schedules. In an interview with PEOPLE, the mother of four said, “Every day is nonstop … but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
However, the duo has been outperforming in their respective careers, and Russell is showing no sign of aging, leading the Steelers in full stride.
