The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, 40-22. This defeat has many questioning what the Chiefs’ offense will look like in 2025, considering their severe lack of production throughout the night.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ top wide receiver, Rashee Rice, missed most of the 2024 campaign, and the rest of the receiving room — including Hollywood Brown (who missed most of the season with an injury) and DeAndre Hopkins — left much to be desired.
Considering the number of Chiefs wide receivers projected to be free agents (five), Kansas City could be looking for answers in the offseason. That’s why one analyst predicted they will pick Savion Williams in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Chiefs Projected To Draft Savion Williams in the 2025 NFL Draft
For the first time as a starter, Mahomes failed to throw for over 4,000 yards in 2024, finishing with 3,928. He had 26 touchdowns (tied for the fewest in his starting career), 11 interceptions, and 36 sacks (the most in his career) in 2024, and the offense took all season to get in sync.
The Chiefs drafted Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, expecting him to form a dangerous combination with second-year receiver Rashee Rice. However, Rice tore his LCL in Week 4, and Worthy needed time to develop a connection with Mahomes. Stalwart tight end Travis Kelce lost a step, posting career lows in receiving yards (823) and touchdowns (three), and running back Isiah Pacheco missed 10 games with a fractured fibula.
The limited offense forced Kansas City to master the art of the one-score win, going 12-0 in those games, including the playoffs. That’s a miraculous effort, but the Chiefs hope to avoid duplicating that feat in 2025 by adding much-needed offensive help in the NFL Draft.
PFSN’s latest seven-round mock draft by Ben Rolfe projects the Chiefs to pick Williams, forming an explosive trio with Worthy and Rice.

“Rice should be back for the start of next season, but they still need a third reliable option, with the majority of their depth set to be free agents this offseason.
“Savion Williams didn’t have the ideal opportunity to showcase his full potential in TCU’s 2024 offense. His rare blend of size and athleticism makes him one of the most intriguing prospects in this class. Williams would bring something different to the table for this offense alongside the playmaking abilities of Rice and Worthy, making for a fascinating trio in 11 personnel.”

Williams is one of the most exciting prospects in this draft class. The former high school quarterback stands at 6’5” and 225 pounds and is often the most dynamic football player on the field.
He’s also an absolute ball hawk. He registered 60 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns with TCU in 2024, alongside two rushing touchdowns and 322 yards. Williams’ dynamic ability would add much-needed firepower to the Chiefs’ offense, and if the Chiefs indeed do draft him, watching the receiving trio of Williams, Worthy, and Rice in tandem would be a sight to behold.
