J.K. Dobbins has been a revelation for the Los Angeles Chargers this season. The running back is already in contention for the Comeback Player of the Year award in many books after coming back from a harrowing injury.
In the process, the RB is also determined to swell his bank account. The 25-year-old could achieve that on Monday Night Football in Week 12 as the Baltimore Ravens come to town.
$150K Already in the Bag As J.K. Dobbins Set To Earn More
The former Ravens RB suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the Week 1 game last year. For this season, he signed with the Chargers on a one-year deal worth $1.6 million. Per Sportac, Dobbins has already rushed past one of the incentive measures worth $150,000 and is looking to get to the next tier.
“Chargers RB JK Dobbins has already bagged an extra $150,000 for collecting 600 yards rushing, and he’s only 24 yards away (726) from hitting another $150,000 tier,” Spotrac tweeted.

With 726 yards and eight touchdowns, the RB is favored to have the best season of his career thus far. It won’t come as a surprise if he manages to blow past other tiers in his contract.
After the 750-yard tier, Dobbins’ next benchmark is 900 yards, followed by 1050 yards and the final tier at 1200 yards.
Jim Harbaugh Is a Fan of Dobbins’ Resilience
Dobbins spent the first four seasons of his pro career with John Harbaugh and the Ravens and is now thriving under HC Jim Harbaugh at the Chargers. It’s easy to say both brothers have a ton of respect for the Ohio State standout.
“To watch him come back even stronger, quicker, faster than before the injury, what a testament to his will,” Jim Harbaugh said earlier this year. “It’s just incredible. Just a testament to his physical athleticism.”
“Plus, the grueling rehab he went through, plus the mindset that it takes to be able to do that. A lesser man wouldn’t put it that way. A lesser man would have not been able to do what J.K. has been able to do,” added the Chargers head coach.
