How CeeDee Lamb’s Best Performances Have Been Fueled by Strong Chemistry With Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott

CeeDee Lamb's chemistry with Dak Prescott could prove key in defeating the Philadelphia Eagles and old friend Jalen Hurts in Week 9.

CeeDee Lamb is coming off the best game of his career and is preparing to continue the momentum as the Dallas Cowboys get set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.

Lamb Building Chemistry with Dak Prescott

In Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams, Lamb had his most receiving yards (158) and receptions (12) in a game this season.

The receiver’s chemistry with QB Dak Prescott is shining brighter than ever, something both say is a product of all of the work they have put in together since 2020.

“For it to come into fruition, year in and year out, whenever I have the opportunity of playing with him, I’m having fun out there, and I’m sure it ultimately ends up in a dub,” said Lamb.

Prescott also echoed this same sentiment after the team’s dominant performance against the Rams, saying, “You go back to the offseason. From the time we started way back in April, maybe even before then. In my backyard, to the time that we spent at minicamp and OTAs to trips to Atlanta, a lot of time invested. A lot of trust in that guy.”

Lamb’s History With Jalen Hurts

Lamb is very familiar with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts for the same reason, as they also share a history and a brotherhood.

Hurts and Lamb were teammates and roommates when they played at Oklahoma in 2019 and spent plenty of time building up their chemistry that season.

In fact, when the two played together, Lamb had his best collegiate season with the Sooners, piling up 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The historic rivalry between the Cowboys and Eagles has had countless storylines since the two teams first faced off in 1960. But when Lamb thinks of the Cowboys-Eagles rivalry, Hurts is the first person that comes to mind.

“Playing with him in 2019 and then for us to be division rivals, it’s kind of crazy. Because I don’t necessarily wish bad on him, but I hope he don’t beat us. But I love love his game. Very familiar with it, and he’s a winner,” said Lamb with a smile.

The fourth-year veteran said he knows the task at hand and that the Cowboys have a game to win, but he still has respect for the quarterback, stating, “Y’all competing, y’all changing your family’s lives, you’re changing your lives and understanding what this game is doing for us as a whole.”

Lamb said that even with the rivalry, he pays his dues to Hurts because that’s his brother.
