The Tennessee Titans will face the Washington Commanders in Week 13. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding WR Calvin Ridley.
Is Calvin Ridley Playing in Week 13?
Updated at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday, December 1
Ridley is active for today's game.
Ridley did not practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury. However, he was upgraded to a full practice on Thursday and Friday and did not carry any injury designation into Week 13.
Ridley has been hampered by other injuries this year and has missed practices, but he’s yet to be sidelined for a game. He became the Titans’ unquestioned WR1 after Tennessee traded DeAndre Hopkins in October. In five games since, Ridley has averaged six catches for 90 yards while scoring twice.
We’ll continue to monitor the Titans’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Calvin Ridley in Week 13?
So let me get this straight: The Titans moved on from DeAndre Hopkins, dealt with a Will Levis injury, and now they’ve unlocked the ability to consistently sustain two fantasy receivers?
Sure, why not?
This team has produced a top-20 receiver in five straight weeks, and the sum of Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine’s finishes over that stretch hasn’t once risen above 58.
Ridley remains the far more projectable of the two, and that is what has earned him a high-end Flex grade for me this week against a Washington defense that blitzes at a top-seven rate but succeeds in getting pressure on those plays at a bottom-seven rate.
For me, that means single-coverage situations, and we know Levis, for better or worse, is willing to give his talented tandem a chance to win those 50/50 balls. The Westbrook-Ikhine scoring barrage feels like a house of cards to me, but this Ridley run has some staying power, and this isn’t the week I’d advise jumping off.

PFN Insight on the Commanders' Defense
The Washington Commanders are an intriguing defense because they started the season poorly (three of five weeks ranking inside the bottom 10). We saw a brief spell of improved performances, but those were all against lesser-talented offenses. Their standing improved as the season went on, but being league-average seems like the ceiling.
The game against the Cowboys was not ideal for the Commanders in general, but the defense was mostly fine. The Cowboys scored 14 of their 34 points on special teams and were held to just three points in the first half. We expected better than a league-average performance overall, but the defense does not bear the responsibility for the loss.
Washington has done fine in terms of pass defense, ranking around the league average. A big driver of that has been its ability to both get pressure without sending extra men and then get home for sacks. However, the Commanders' run defense has been awful, which has played a huge part in their poor numbers on third downs and inside the red zone.
There's been a slight defensive improvement under Dan Quinn, but not to the level we would have expected. The real test will be if they can maintain the improvements as the playoffs approach and then build upon it next season.

Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders Trends
Tennessee Titans
Team: Tennessee has 21 turnovers this season, their most through 11 games since 2015. They’ve forced just nine turnovers, their second-lowest mark at this point in the season during the 2000s.
QB: Will Levis opened last week at Houston with 11 straight completions (177 yards and a touchdown)
Offense: The Titans had multiple drives reach the red zone in each of their first nine games — they have had a total of two such drives over the past two weeks.
Defense: The Tennessee defense has shown glimpses of promise, but they are coughing up chunk plays at an alarming rate.
Yards Per Completion Allowed
- Week 8: 6.3
- Week 9: 7.1
- Week 10: 11.7
- Week 11: 12.3
- Week 12: 12.4
Fantasy: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has scored in six of seven games and is producing 50.6% over expectations this season. For reference, Troy Franklin, Greg Dortch, and Tyler Johnson are averaging more expected points than him this season.
Betting: The Titans have played four games against the NFC this season, all against the North – they failed to cover each of those contests.
Washington Commanders
Team: Eight of Washington’s 12 games this season have been decided by a single score, including each of their past five.
QB: Are the ribs bothering Jayden Daniels? Since getting banged up in Week 7, he’s completed just 31.6% of passes when under duress (Weeks 1-6: 57.1%).
Offense: The Rams have scored under 2.25 points per drive three times this season, two of which have come in the past two weeks (at Eagles and vs. Cowboys).
Defense: Washington has allowed at least 26 points in all three games during this losing streak — they allowed more than 15 points in just two of their six previous games.
Fantasy: Noah Brown has quietly seen at least six targets in four of five games, a run that all started with the Hail Mary catch against the Bears.
Betting: Overs have cashed in the Commanders’ past six games against the AFC.
