Buccaneers UDFA Signings and Rookie Minicamp Invites: Dates, Notable Prospects, and More

Following the 2024 NFL Draft, the Buccaneers are working the phones to land the top undrafted players remaining. Which UDFAs are Tampa signing?

The 2024 NFL Draft was an important one for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With a lot to build on following a playoff season in 2023, the Buccaneers needed to add talent that could help right away and push them even further this season.

While the draft is over, the talent acquisition doesn’t stop as the Buccaneers and the 31 other NFL teams quickly turned their attention to undrafted free agents.

One of the biggest names listed is Florida State’s Kalen DeLoach. The FSU linebacker was a productive piece in the middle of a very good Seminoles defense last year and will be staying in the state where he played his college football as he looks to try and make an impact in the NFL.

In today’s NFL, having a linebacker who can not only play the run but also carry tight ends, match up with RBs, and play all three downs is crucial. DeLoach has a chance to show he is that for the Buccaneers as he looks to win a spot on their roster.

Another interesting name the Buccaneers added was Arizona Wildcats RB D.J. Williams. Williams has a chance to come to Tampa Bay and make his presence felt not only in short-yardage situations, but with his ability as a three-down back who can pass protect as well.

Who Will Be Attending the Buccaneers’ Rookie Minicamp?

Every UDFA will be attending the Buccaneers’ rookie minicamp, but there are several who will be getting invites, as noted above.

North Carolina DB Don Chapman has a chance to show out in the rookie minicamp as he hopes to display his versatility not only as someone with position flexibility in the secondary, but also by showing his value on special teams.

Another intriguing name is OT Jasper Parks. The former Charlotte 49er started all 12 games last season at right tackle, and with his big 6’7″ frame and strength, he has a chance to make an impression during the weekend that may earn him a chance to stick around into training camp.

When Is the Buccaneers’ Rookie Minicamp?

Tampa Bay’s rookie minicamp is set to begin on May 10 and run until May 12.

Players will be able to showcase their abilities on the field as the coaching staff and front office will get a closer look at prospects from the 2024 NFL Draft.
