San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is a force on the field, but he’s not the only force to be reckoned with in his family. Purdy comes from a family of five, including his parents, Shawn and Carrie Purdy, and siblings Chubba and Whittney.

The Purdy family has athletes galore. You know Brock — let’s find out more about his sister and brother.

    Meet Brock Purdy’s Sister, Whittney

Whittney is the eldest of all three siblings who played collegiate softball at Spartanburg Methodist and later transferred to Southeastern University in 2019, completing two seasons in 2020.

However, softball is not the only sport she’s good at. During an interview on YouTube (Sports360AZ), the youngest of the Purdy clan admitted that Whittney is the best athlete in the family and can throw the ball just as nicely as their Super Bowl-playing brother.

He recalled how the two siblings would compete against each other when they were kids: “Brock and Whitney would be on the field because the lights were still on. They’d throw the ball each other, and Whittney would hit it over the fence.”

“I don’t even know if Brock could hit it over the fence at that time, um, so it was just hilarious seeing that. Whitney’s just so natural when it comes to that stuff, just being an all-around athlete, and then also just being able to chuck the football, like, when we were younger, she’s on the field, or at halftime at our flag games, and she’s ripping it down there, so it was awesome.”

Whittney is also close friends with Brock’s wife, Jenna Brandt, and even attended her bachelorette party, which Purdy’s sister described as “the best time.”

    Meet Brock Purdy’s Brother, Chubba

Born in 2001, Chubba is also a football player like his older brother Brock. In his first two years as a starter, he threw for 9,000 yards and 111 touchdowns for Perry High School in Arizona.

After initially committing to Louisville, Chubba flipped his commitment to Florida State University on December 18, 2019.

After two years with the Seminoles, he transferred to Nebraska. While his time with the Cornhuskers wasn’t easy, as he suffered various injuries, head coach Matt Rhule said, “Chubba did a really nice job” when he started against Wisconsin in Week 12 of the 2023 season.

Chubba decided to enter the transfer portal again in December 2023 and announced that he’d be going to San Jose State. However, he flipped his commitment to Nevada when the Wildcats hired Brent Brennan on January 22.

It’s safe to say that athleticism runs in the Purdy blood. Fans would be intrigued to see Brock’s family show up to cheer on him in the 2024 NFL season.
