March 28 isn’t just another day on the calendar — at least not in New England.
The date is known among Patriots fans as “3-28 Day,” marking the anniversary of the franchise’s legendary comeback in Super Bowl 51, when quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick came back from a 28-3 deficit to stun the Falcons in overtime, 34-28.

It was the kind of game that flipped legacies.
Brady passed for 466 yards and two touchdowns, James White scored three times, and the Patriots went on a 31-0 run to close out what remains the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history.
The win gave Belichick his fifth ring as a head coach and sent the Falcons into a spiral from which they’ve yet to fully recover. Since then, “28-3” has become more than a score; it’s a punchline.
To celebrate the occasion, Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, posted a photo to Instagram with a satirical caption: “Happy 3-28 to those who celebrate.”

In the photo, Hudson is seen wearing an Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl 51 champions shirt, a piece of merchandise that was never officially released due to the Falcons’ loss. Standing next to her? Belichick himself, smirking.
The photo reconfirms my long-standing belief that Belichick only smiles when he’s trolling someone.
But this isn’t the first time Hudson has gone out of her way to troll Atlanta fans. During Super Bowl 59 weekend in New Orleans, she was spotted wearing the same shirt, subtly reminding Falcons fans of the Patriots’ dramatic victory.
Belichick and Hudson have been publicly linked since last summer — and they’ve been turning heads ever since.
The 72-year-old coach and his 24-year-old girlfriend haven’t exactly shied away from the spotlight, often showing up in public together and sprinkling their social media with playful moments, like this latest 3-28 Day jab.
Belichick, of course, is no longer roaming the NFL sidelines. He took over as head coach at the University of North Carolina earlier this year — a surprising pivot for a guy who once looked destined to ride off into the Canton sunset.
As for Hudson, she’s leaning into her role in the spotlight. And if her trolling of the Falcons is any indication, she’s not afraid to stir the pot — especially when it comes to a game that still echoes across the NFL landscape all these years later.
