Who Are the Packers’ Top Fantasy Players?

    WR Jayden Reed

Despite a slow start due to an inconsistent early-season role, Reed showed flashes of his talent later in the season. However, the Packers never fully committed to Reed as their WR1. Despite a modest 17.6% target share, Reed averaged an impressive 2.31 fantasy points per target and 0.56 fantasy points per route run.

Reed operated primarily out of the slot, where he was targeted on 24.4% of his routes run, ranking 26th in the league. At his current ADP of WR35 (No. 79 overall), Reed offers weekly upside but also carries significant risk due to the Packers’ unpredictable deployment of their wide receivers.

    RB Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs was the toast of fantasy football in 2022 when he piled up 2,053 yards of offense, scored 12 times, and delivered one of the highlight performances of the season (303 total yards against the Seattle Seahawks, a masterpiece that included an 86-yard walk-off touchdown in overtime).

In 2023, however, Jacobs burned everyone who invested early draft capital in him in hopes of a repeat campaign. He missed four games and averaged just 3.5 yards per carry (down from 4.9 the year prior). Jacobs upgraded his scoring environment, though, by joining the Green Bay Packers this offseason, and that has managers ready to again label him as an RB1.

    QB Jordan Love

In his first full season as the Packers’ starting quarterback, Love threw for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns, finishing as the QB5 overall in fantasy football in 2023. This was a remarkable achievement, especially considering none of his receivers topped 65 receptions or 800 yards.

Love’s performance wasn’t without its challenges. From Weeks 3-9, he ranked as the QB16 overall, struggling with consistency, throwing six touchdowns and eight interceptions. This stretch led to some doubts about his future as the Packers’ franchise quarterback. Love rebounded impressively in the latter half of the season. From Week 10 onward, he was the QB3 overall, averaging 20.9 fantasy points per game with 20 touchdown passes and only three interceptions.
