Whether you are in the middle of your fantasy season, gearing up for your draft, analyzing your waiver wire, or simply looking to play DFS, there are fantasy football podcasts available to help. The options are endless, but Pro Football Network has put together a list of some of the best to help guide you in the right direction. And for your options here at PFN, scroll to the end of the article for more details.
The best and number one fantasy football podcast
The Fantasy Footballers Podcast
The Fantasy Footballers Podcast has been the number one resource for the casual and hardcore fan for years. Not only do they cover everything from waiver wire additions to studs and duds, but they are year-round, so you can get your fantasy fix even during the offseason.
They provide clever, interesting content and comprise some of the most accurate experts in the business. In 2018, both hosts Andy Holloway and Jason Moore were featured in the top 10 most accurate fantasy experts on FantasyPros, while staff writer Robert Waziak was ranked No. 2 overall. Holloway is actually second in 2020 for the most accurate rankings for this season.
It is not just us that feel like this podcast is the best in the business. The Fantasy Footballers won the 2019 Best Sports Podcast at the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards. But even more impressively, they have won the People’s Choice award for Best Podcast four years in a row.
They have been around since 2014, and have done nothing but grow in popularity since then. They are our vote for the best fantasy football podcast available.
Alternative recommendation: The FantasyPros Football Podcast
If you are not interested in listening to Holloway, Moore, and Wright, then the next best option is the FantasyPros Podcast. The format of this podcast is quite different from the Footballers, with a lot less humor and more hard-hitting fantasy analysis. There is always a rotation of expert guests, who each bring unique views and analyses to the pod. Co-hosts Dan Harris and Kyle Yates work well together and bring relevant information to the listeners.
Alternative recommendation: ESPN Fantasy Focus Football
One of the most popular options for fantasy football is the ESPN Fantasy Focus Football podcast. With the popular ESPN brand name to help its popularity, fantasy experts Matthew Berry, Field Yates, Stephania Bell, Mike Clay, and Daniel Dopp provide daily strategy, previews, and injury reports. The show is incredibly informative, especially when trying to figure out who should be in or out of your lineups due to injury.
The best podcast for Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS)
The Sports Gambling Podcast
The Sports Gambling Podcast does not focus solely on DFS, but instead, releases a broad range of gambling-related podcasts on a weekly basis. If you are desperate for content, you will not be lacking with this team.
Not only do they cover NFL DFS with a bevy of guests, but they have also recently started to dabble in NCAAF DFS. Hosts Sean “Stacking the Money” Green and Ryan “Real Money” Kramer approach the DFS world with a combination of incredible knowledge and uncensored humor.
If you don’t think that they can help you, Sean will gladly remind everyone that he has won 250 thousand dollars in DFS. Make sure the kids are not in the room when you are listening, though, especially when they have some of their more colorful guests on the podcast. If you are looking to win in DFS, this is the best fantasy football podcast available.
Alternative recommendation: The Fantasy Footballers DFS Podcast
Not only are the Fantasy Footballers great for fantasy, but they also have a dedicated podcast for DFS. Hosts Kyle Borgognoni and Matthew Betz break down the main slate each week, while also answering some listener questions.
What makes this show unique? They put an emphasis on stressing the differences between the main DFS sites like FanDuel, DraftKings, and Underdog Fantasy. With each of them having their own specific rules, it is good to know that one lineup might win on one site but not do as well on another.
Alternative recommendation: Establish The Run Podcast
A fairly new addition to the podcasting world, Establish The Run comes from a premium football analysis site from fantasy experts Evan Silva and Adam Levitan (who are certainly not new to the fantasy football world). The podcast covers a wide range of topics related to fantasy football, DFS, prop betting, and football strategy.
Their DFS-specific episodes have hosts Drew Dinkmeyer and Mike Leone, two of the most successful DFS tournament players in the world, run through the slate from a large-field GPP perspective.
The best fantasy football podcast for positional rankings
The Pat Mayo Experience
The Pat Mayo Experience is a podcast presented by DraftKings that focuses heavily on fantasy football and spread picks. Host Pat Mayo is the reigning Fantasy Sports Writing Association Daily winner of Fantasy Sports Writer of The Year and Podcast of the Year (all sports), along with winning the Fantasy Sports Trade Association award for Best Video (short-form) in 2019. Mayo’s 17 FSWA nominations lead all writers this decade and are the second-most all-time.
During the offseason, Mayo breaks down and ranks every position in fantasy football with expert guests, and continues to update those rankings throughout the year. Mayo’s rankings by themselves are not always the most accurate, but with help from a few of his expert guests like Jake Ciely, you get quite a bit of information, more than enough to compile your very own rankings.
Alternative recommendation: Gridiron Experts Podcast Network
If you are looking for the most accurate rankings available, the hosts over at the Gridiron Experts Podcast Network have you covered. Currently, the podcast network has two hosts inside the top five spots in FantasyPros accuracy rankings.
The network has under its umbrella The Fantasy FAQS, The FF Faceoff Podcast, The UnderScore Podcast, and Dynasty Degenerates. Each podcast is fantasy-centric, but look at the fantasy landscape through a different lens.
Pro Football Network’s Options
While the rest of these podcasts should be staples in your library, Pro Football Network also has some options for you if you need accurate, fun fantasy football advice.
We start with our newest digital media show “On the Mark with Anita Marks“. Anita Marks joined the team as a PFN Fantasy Analyst — she appears on ESPN’s “The Daily Wager” as their resident gambling analyst, and has an ESPN New York radio show “The Weekend Wager” on Friday nights. In addition to her own show, she also appears on Moneyline & Wine, hosted by Senior Betting Analyst Chris Smith, where she provides even more fantasy advice.
If you are looking specifically for a podcast, we have you covered with The Fantasy Force Podcast. Hosts Andrew Thomas Jordan and Tommy Garrett bring you the analysis and strategy you need to be a force in your fantasy football leagues. The Fantasy Force covers every angle of fantasy football from dynasty, redraft, and daily fantasy leagues.
