Chicago Bears vs. Houston Texans Inactives: Keenan Allen, Velus Jones Jr. To Miss Week 2

Heading into Houston for their Week 2 matchup, the Chicago Bears enter Sunday night with a worrisome injury report, including two of their top three receivers.

After a disappointing debut for the Chicago Bears in Week 1, they hit the road this week to take on the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium for a Sunday night matchup.

The Bears’ injury report causes reason for concern offensively, while Houston comes into Week 2 relatively unscathed, health-wise.

Who Are the Inactives for Chicago Bears vs. Houston Texans?

Following their lackluster performance on offense in Week 1, the Bears will be without veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) on Sunday night against the Texans.

Odunze suffered an MCL sprain in Week 1, but after a limited practice on Friday, the rookie receiver will make his primetime debut.

Offensive tackle Ryan Bates (shoulder/elbow) was placed on injured reserve on Saturday before the game, making his earliest possible chance to return in Week 6. Fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) is listed as “OUT” for Sunday’s matchup with Houston.

For the Texans, their Week 2 injury report looks a bit different.

Their only starter missing this week is interior offensive lineman Juice Scruggs due to a groin injury. Backup Jarrett Patterson will start at center for Houston.
