The NFL Honors will recognize and celebrate the best the league has to offer in a spectacular ceremony before Super Bowl LVIII. Held annually since 2012, the ceremony occurs on the Thursday before the Super Bowl in the host city and brings together some of the best talent the NFL has to offer.
Plenty of awards will be given out to the finest players of the 2023 season, along with other distinguished awards.
Awards Given Out at the 2024 NFL Honors
The finalists for several of the awards have already been announced, and there will be more than 20 winners at the event on Thursday, Feb. 8, in Las Vegas. The winners that will be revealed on the night include the NFL’s Most Valuable Player, a prestigious award given to the best player in the league.
The Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year will also be revealed based on voting from the Associated Press (AP), which now uses a ranking system to decide the winners.
One winner is predicted to be Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, who is the heavy favorite to win NFL MVP. Jackson led the Ravens to a 13-4 season, finishing as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. However, the Ravens lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
It is also expected to be a good night for the Cleveland Browns, with Myles Garett the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year. Meanwhile, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is the favorite to win NFL Coach of the Year.
Along with awards given based upon the 2023 season, the NFL will also pay tribute to their Walter Payton Man of the Year and introduce the Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
