Amon-Ra St. Brown is a budding star in the NFL and a huge part of the reason why the Detroit Lions are shooting for their first-ever conference championship. Fresh off a 2022 season that saw him finish with 106 catches for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns and his first Pro Bowl selection, St. Brown picked back up where he left off in 2022 and on his way to superstardom.
Perhaps even the Super Bowl if his Lions get past the favored San Francisco 49ers on Sunday evening.
While many know St. Brown now, not many seem to know that he’s not the only talented one in his family. His father was a bodybuilder, and his brothers also are their own football stars.
Who Are Amon-Ra St. Brown’s Talented Brothers?
There are three St. Brown brothers, and all three played Division I college football, with two of them making it to the NFL. By now, we all know Amon-Ra, but his older brother, Equanimeous St. Brown, currently plays for the Chicago Bears. Equanimeous was drafted by Green Bay in 2018 after playing three seasons at Notre Dame.
The third St. Brown brother, Osiris, is the middle child of the three. He’s two years older than Amon-Ra, and after being a four-star recruit from Mater Dei High School, played for Stanford from 2018 to 2020. However, unlike his brothers, Osiris would not go on to play at the NFL level.
Who Are St. Brown’s Parents?
The most impressive of the St. Brown family may actually be the father, John Brown. John is a two-time Mr. Universe bodybuilding champion and was considered one of the best in the business during his time in the profession.
It’s easy to see where the brothers may have gotten their drive and work ethic from while also having the benefits of having a father who knows how and what it takes to get the most out of your body.
What their mother may lack in brawn like the rest of her family, Miriam certainly makes up for in brains. She was born in Germany and would meet John at a fitness trade show in Cologne.
Having German be her native language is the reason why Miriam’s kids grew up learning and are now fluent in German. She also prioritized education and mastering other languages, as she would enroll them at the Lycee International de Los Angeles, where they learned to speak French.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Is a Star in the Making
As impressive as the family is as a whole, Amon-Ra has a real chance to be the biggest star of the bunch. While he was drafted in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, he carries that chip on his shoulder — knowing all of the players that went before him — and uses that as fuel to rise to the top.
On top of that, with one more win, he becomes the first from his family of NFL brothers to make it to the Super Bowl.
