Andrey Rublev vs Adrian Mannarino Preview

Andrey Rublev will take on Adrian Mannarino in the third round of Wimbledon 2025, with the winner of the match facing either Carlos Alcaraz or Jan-Lennard Struff in the second round of the grass-court Major.

Rublev has won 20 out of 34 matches so far in the 2025 season, winning the Qatar Open and reaching the final of the Hamburg European Open. The Russian entered Wimbledon 2025 following a second-round defeat at the Halle Open. He booked his place in the third round after four-set wins over Laslo Djere and Lloyd Harris. Rublev beat Djere 6-0, 7-6(5), 6-7(9), 7-6(6) before triumphing 6-7(1), 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-3.

Adrian Mannarino has won four of ten tour-level main-draw matches so far in the 2025 season, with his best performance coming at the ongoing edition of the grass-court Major. The Frenchman entered the Wimbledon qualifiers and booked his place in the final round with straight-set wins over Andrea Collarini and Nicolai Budkov Kjær. He then beat Li Tu 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to book his place in the main draw.

Mannarino faced Christopher O’Connell in the first round and beat him 6-2, 6-4, 6-3. He then faced compatriot Valentin Royer and won a tightly-fought contest 6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 7-6(1) to reach the third round of Wimbledon for the first time since 2018.

Andrey Rublev vs Adrian Mannarino Head-to-Head

This will be the first time the two will play each other on grass and Rublev holds a 3-1 head-to-head lead over Mannarino.

Andrey Rublev vs Adrian Mannarino Prediction

Rublev will enter the match as the heavy favorite to win given his relatively superior run of form. The Russian has won 139 out of 169 points (82.2%) so far at Wimbledon, serving 24 aces. He also produced 88 winners compared to 83 unforced errors. Rublev has among the best forehands on tour and a fine serve, both of which, will come in very handy.

Adrian Mannarino’s first serve numbers have also been pretty impressive, winning 102 out of 120 points (85%) so far at Wimbledon. He also hit 59 winners while producing 49 unforced errors. The Frenchman has looked good so far at the grass-court Major but he will have to bring on his A-game if he is to get the better of Rublev.

While Mannarino at his best is a formidable competitor on grass, the Russian looks in relatively better touch and if he can maintain his composure, he should be able to come out on top and reach the fourth round of Wimbledon 2025.

Prediction: Rublev to win in three sets.
