The 2025 NHL Draft is just a few hours away, and teams are preparing to get the next big thing. With the league dominated by the Florida Panthers, multiple teams in the Eastern Conference are looking to break the deadlock at the top. And one of those teams is the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Philadelphia outfit has long floundered with inconsistent performances and hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2019-20 season, where they made it to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. But they have the chance to change that this time, with the most picks in the draft this season.
And with so many picks and multiple top prospects linked to the Flyers, they have the chance to completely reinvent themselves before the regular season starts.
Which picks have the Flyers secured in the 2025 Draft
The Philadelphia Flyers have ten picks across the seven rounds, including three first-round picks. These picks are:
- Round 1: #6, #22 (from COL), #31 (from EDM)
- Round 2: #36, #40 (from ANA), #48 (from CGY)
- Round 3: #68
- Round 5: #132, #157 (from CAR)
- Round 6: #164
While winning the draft lottery had already given the Flyers the top ten pick. However, they also acquired the #22 pick from the Colorado Avalanche when they traded defenseman Sean Walker to them in exchange for the pick.

They also acquired the #31 pick from the Edmonton Oilers in a trade that would be fulfilled in the 2025-26 season. In addition to this, they acquired multiple Round 2 and Round 5 drafts with trades from the Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames, and Carolina Hurricanes.
With all these, they can make one of the deepest rookie rosters in the league. But beyond these picks, the Flyers have been associated with some of the biggest names in this draft.
Names Most Likely To Be Picked By the Flyers in the 2025 Draft
Brady Martin
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds center has been hinted at as one of the top ten names in the upcoming draft. And one of the teams most likely to pick Brady Martin up is the Flyers.
With a great season, including bagging a gold for Team Canada at the U18 level, his stock rose right from going under the radar to a top ten pick. His extremely physical style of play, which has seen him push opponents to the ice, and his flashy way of rushing into the net will help the Flyers, who have been struggling in the offense department.
But beyond Martin, there are other top ten picks that the Flyers are also targeting.
Roger McQueen
The 6-foot-5 forward was once seen as a top-five lock, but a recent back injury has made some teams hesitant.
But this is the chance for the Flyers to potentially get a top-level prospect even with their #6 pick. If they want to pursue Martin for their first pick, there are still chances that McQueen might remain undrafted till the later part of the first round.
This, in turn, would allow them to secure not just one but two top-caliber prospects. In the meantime, they can focus on maximizing their defense with their round two picks.
Joshua Ravensbergen
Some have predicted that in the scenario where goalie Joshua Ravensbergen is still left undrafted after the last third of round one, the Flyers would most likely pick him up. Despite being 6’5″, he is inarguably one of the most athletic goaltenders of this draft.
And with 51 games played in the Western Hockey League, he was tied in third. He was clinical in the 2024 season with a 2.46 goals-against average, a .907 save percentage, and six shutouts. He was even better in the playoffs, finishing 9-2-1 with a 1.98 goals-against average, .931 save percentage, and three shutouts.
With round one focused on the centers and wingers, if the goalie slips through to the second round, the Flyers will likely scoop him up.
