‘I Tried To Hold It In’ – Kai Cenat Can’t Hide His Excitement After Meeting Legends Tom Brady, LeBron James During Twitch Stream

Kai Cenat was alongside a star-studded lineup, sitting next to the likes of LeBron James and Tom Brady, and he couldn't control his excitement.

LeBron James’ talk show “The Shop: Uninterrupted” went live at Fanatics Fest NYC on Saturday, June 21, featuring a crossover lineup that blended sports legacy with digital culture.

Set at The Theatre at Javits Center, the special taping brought together NFL legend Tom Brady, NBA rising star Victor Wembanyama, and Twitch sensation Kai Cenat. Beyond the celebrity lineup, it was Cenat’s on-camera reaction that quickly became one of the stream’s most replayed moments.

The barber shop-style show was streamed directly through Cenat’s Twitch platform. For all the polish of the set and the magnitude of the guest list, what caught fans’ attention most was Cenat visibly trying to contain his emotions while sitting next to the likes of James and Brady.

Kai Cenat on Meeting LeBron James and Tom Brady During ‘The Shop’

During the live stream, Cenat couldn’t help but speak on the surreal nature of the moment. The Twitch star admitted he was trying to remain composed, but being on set with James and Brady proved overwhelming.

“I tried to hold it in,” Cenat said. “I really tried. But I’m sitting here, and I’m looking across, and I see LeBron James. I see Tom Brady. I’m like, ‘Yo, this is not real.'”

The Twitch streamer has long been vocal about his respect for James, and that excitement translated seamlessly on screen. The Twitch segment was part of “The Shop”’s special taping.

One of the day’s most talked-about moments arrived even before the stream went live. Streamers CashNasty and Tylil broke down in tears after meeting James backstage, a full-circle moment broadcast online shortly before “The Shop” began.

The reaction from Cenat only solidifies James and Brady’s status as more than just generational athletes. They remain a cultural pillar for fans who have followed their journeys since high school.

Interestingly, Wembanyama, 21, was also with Cenat during the stream. And the Russian didn’t waste much time and greeted the fans with a big smile on his face.

With Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers on Sunday, June 22, the show served as a momentary pause before attention returns to what matters most: Theimpact these athletes have on the younger generation.
