EA Sports College Football 26 will drop on July 10, and fan excitement is reaching its peak. Last year, the video game developer revived the long-running college football game, this time bringing in real players.
Like any other sports video game release, as soon as what appears to be player ratings are leaked, fans of the series rush to social media to debate whether the players were rated too high, low, or just right. These debates have already started for the 2026 edition of the game after an account released a “leaked” list of rankings.
Fans React to Alleged Leaked EA Sports College Football 26 Player Ratings
“MUTLeaks” on X, which has over 105,000 followers, posted a leak of the top 100 players in EA Sports College Football 26. While the leak might not be accurate or final, this account is known for leaking exclusive details in EA games.

According to the leak, Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith is the highest-rated player in the game, at a 98 to start the year. Ohio State also boasts the second-highest-rated player, safety Caleb Downs, at a 96.
The leaks caused a lot of reaction as fans clamored about the ratings and what they disagreed with. One Michigan fan pointed out that not a single Wolverine made the top 100 players in the entire game.
i don’t see any wolverines 😣

Another, likely a Wolverines fan, claimed that freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood will be the highest rating possible by year’s end, saying, “Bryce Underwood will be 99 by the end of the year.”
One fan seemed to think that Alabama WR Ryan Williams, who is rated as a 95 overall and a top-five player in the entire game, was given way too high an overall, saying, “Ryan Williams at 95 this game is so unserious.”
Another account pointed out that Texas Longhorns QB Arch Manning, one of the most popular college football players, did not crack the top 100 either.

There are a few other interesting things about these ratings. Penn State’s Drew Allar is the highest-rated quarterback in the game with a 93 overall, ahead of guys like Cade Klubnik, Garrett Nussmeier, John Mateer, and LaNorris Sellers, who also all made the top 100.

Notre Dame’s Jeremyah Love is the best running back in the game and is tied for the third-highest rated player overall at 95.
Aside from Ohio State, Clemson and Alabama are the only other schools that have two players above a 94 overall, meaning that both of those teams should boast high total overalls in the new game.
It’s important to remember that this is just a leak for an X account, and these might not be the real ratings, but fans seem to be long past that as they continue to debate what player should be what overall before the game even officially drops.
