Right now, elite offensive linemen are getting harder to find, and that’s why Felix Ojo is drawing so much attention. The 5-star tackle from Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, Texas, has become one of the most talked-about prospects this cycle.

5-Star OL Felix Ojo Says Texas Leads After Standout Official Visit
Everyone knows the Longhorns are already dominating the 2025 recruiting class. But now, head coach Steve Sarkisian is also turning heads in the 2026 cycle. After a strong update from Ojo, it’s clear that Texas has taken the lead in one of the most high-profile recruitments of the year.
Ojo is ranked as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country and sits comfortably in the top 10 overall. Over the weekend, he spent valuable time inside the Longhorns program. He left impressed. From bonding with current players to diving deep into his development plan with offensive line coach Flood, the visit checked every box.
“I’d say Texas is very high. Right now, Texas is the team to beat,” Ojo told Orangebloods.com. “They stand pretty high with me and my family.”

He also shared what stood out to him. The Texas native explained, “I’d say the highlight was talking to Trevoer (Goosby), talking to (Andre) Cojoe, Nick Brooks. Just really seeing all their point of views, how they enjoy Texas so far. Hearing about all their experiences throughout being at Texas, how they love it there, love the campus. I’d say that’s the biggest highlight.”

Still, maybe Flood’s personal development plan touched him the most. The 6-foot-6.5 OL added, “Also talking to Coach Flood, hearing his step-by-step plan to make it to the NFL. He kind of put me on the Kelvin Banks plan.”
Ojo’s rise as one of the nation’s top offensive linemen isn’t just hype. It’s backed by real skill and dominant traits. According to On3’s scouting report, Ojo possesses “outstanding hand strength” and a “nasty edge.” He also delivers a powerful punch that allows him to control defenders right at the line of scrimmage.
It’s no surprise that top programs are chasing him. His impressive 6’7″ frame and his significant leap between his sophomore and junior seasons set him apart from other offensive line prospects. And right now, Texas seems to have the edge.
The offensive line coach sees him as a perfect fit for the Longhorns’ offensive front. With Ojo expected to announce his decision in July or early August, the Longhorns are in a strong position to land one of the elite linemen in the 2026 class.
