A Celebration Across the Colorado Community for Preston Hodge

Following Hodge’s wedding, news went viral on social media platforms, and everyone in the Colorado football “family” was in a cheery mood. Ossacin’s Ducktail of the Buffs community took the chance to wish the couple all the happiness and then some via X:

“Huge congratulations to #SkoBuffs cornerback Preston Hodge and his beautiful bride on tying the knot today! Wishing y’all a lifetime of love, blessings, and excellence. Welcome to the Hodge Era.”

The celebration of the wedding didn’t stop there. The CU Aunties page, known for their familial support of Colorado players, added their wishes with a tweet: “Congratulations on your union nephew Preston Hodge.”

Hodge’s teammates also joined the celebration on Instagram, with safety Jeremiah Brown writing, “Congrats my brudda.”

Hodge had been a major contributor to Colorado’s success on the field before a serious injury during the 2024 season forced him to leave the campaign prematurely. The 6-foot, 195-pound cornerback started nine games, made 33 tackles, seized two interceptions, and had seven pass breakups, thus gaining full acknowledgment as an All-Big 12 honorable mention.

A Love Story That Began in Their Teens

Preston and Cielo’s love story sounds like a fairy tale that extends for nearly a decade. “Two are better than one… and we’ve known that since we were 15,” is the beautiful statement Preston made in his wedding announcement.

The pair decided to keep it low and not too lavish, with Cielo saying: “No grand venue. No big production. Just us, the people we love, and a promise we’ve been living since we were kids. Forever with you, 5-30-25.”

Also, being the father of a young son, the family relationship between the two is beyond marriage. Preston has disclosed his plans of moving back to Colorado for the 2025 season, which would not only allow him to carry on with his football career but also to grow his family further with Cielo.
