Deion Sanders Assures Fans He’s ‘Okay’ Amid Ongoing Health Scare

Colorado football coach Deion Sanders addressed his health Wednesday, posting on X that “everything is OKAY” and promising a full update when he returns to Boulder. Sanders, 57, has been at his Texas estate for several weeks dealing with an undisclosed medical issue.

On Sunday, Deion Jr. said on YouTube that his father’s return date was uncertain. Sanders Sr. expressed gratitude on Wednesday.

“THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I can assure you all that everything is OKAY… God got me like no other.” He added, “When we arrive back to Boulder you will be updated on everything. Until then, I’M COMING BABY, #CoachPrime.”

In a May podcast with Asante Samuel, Sanders said his condition was on “a whole other level” and noted he had lost 14 pounds. Though the issue is unspecified, Sanders has long battled blood clots, resulting in two toe amputations. CU athletic trainer Lauren Askevold has assisted him at home. He also canceled a June 8 event in Florida.
