Micah Parsons’ contract situation has been a storyline tied to the franchise for more than the past 12 months. In other words, it is a case of death, taxes, and Parsons’ contract situation. Jerry Jones has had plenty of time to tie the knot, but has crossed his arms.
Despite the ongoing contract struggles, Parsons has chosen to show up at camp while multiple other notable pass rushers have decided to take a stand. Instead of getting congratulated for being the bigger man, he has received apparent silence from his critics, to the frustration of Parsons’ brother.
Micah Parsons’ Brother Calls Out Pass Rusher’s Haters, Claims Their Silence Speaks Volumes
Taking to X on Jun. 10, Parsons’ brother Terrance Parsons Jr. expressed displeasure with the reaction to Parsons showing up for minicamp.
The message was sent as a reaction to a rant posted on social media, going to bat for Parsons and calling out the quiet critics.

“He is still there around his teammates as he said he would. … Is he getting all the credit? Where are those people now?” J Tuck said in the rant.
Parsons approved, posting a meme that said “message” in response.
lol right and now it’s crickets when it’s time to stand up for him

The one who had the initial rant, J Tuck on X, responded, saying, “It’s crazy, bro.”
“Lol right and now it’s crickets when it’s time to stand up for him,” Parsons posted in return.
Of course, detractors may say that, as Parsons is still under contract, it is his job to fulfill it even if there are questions about what happens after the deal concludes. Those may say he doesn’t deserve a round of applause for handling the business he is currently getting paid to do. That said, his head coach gave him one anyway.
Parsons’ Head Coach Speaks Directly to Dallas Cowboys Pass Rusher About His Contract
In a TikTok posted in recent days via RJ Ochoa on X on Jun. 8, Parsons was seen having a conversation with Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
The pass rusher’s contract came up after Parsons said he was “excited about next week,” referencing minicamp. Schottenheimer responded by bringing up the contract situation and praising Parsons’ declaration that he would show up.

“I know this is weird for everybody, but you’re handling everything the right way, and this thing’s going to get worked out,” he said.
So, even if his detractors won’t yell their praise from the rooftops, Parsons appears to have won over his head coach, which trumps all in many minds. Of course, it doesn’t solve the contract situation, either. If Jones doesn’t fix the situation, it could lead to holdouts down the line.
Will Parsons go there?
