Stefon Diggs is making headlines again but this time, it’s not about a trade or an injury update.
Just over a week after sparking controversy for partying on a yacht with rapper Cardi B and others, the New England Patriots wide receiver is back in the spotlight for his bold moves on the dance floor during his sister’s wedding.
Stefon Diggs’ Offseason Has Been Anything but Quiet
Diggs, 31, has had an eventful few months. He tore his ACL in Week 8 last season during a game against the Indianapolis Colts, cutting his campaign with the Houston Texans short after recording 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns.
The Texans were hit hard by injuries, losing not just Diggs but Tank Dell and Nico Collins for significant stretches. Still, Diggs remained one of the more coveted names on the free agent market heading into the offseason.
The Patriots secured his services on March 25, signing him to a three-year, $69 million deal with $26 million guaranteed. It was a big move for a team looking to reset around rookie quarterback Drake Maye, and bringing in a veteran with 10 years of NFL experience, including six straight 1,000-yard seasons before 2024, was a statement of intent.
Diggs’ visit to Foxborough, Mass., prior to the deal focused heavily on his recovery. ESPN reported that he’s already running at full speed and growing more confident in his cuts and directional changes, though he’s not expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Diggs Dances His Way Back Into the Spotlight
If his recovery timetable is unclear, his energy certainly isn’t. In a viral clip shared by NFL aggregator Dov Kleiman, Diggs is seen busting out wild, uncoordinated, but clearly enthusiastic, dance moves at his sister’s wedding.
Arms flailing, spinning in circles, jumping from side to side, it wasn’t polished, but it had social media buzzing. It came just days after he made headlines for partying on a boat with Cardi B and other women, a scene that had already drawn mixed reactions online.

But this video felt different. The atmosphere was family-filled and festive, and Diggs looked like a guy blowing off steam, not chasing controversy.
Will Diggs Be Ready for Week 1?
The Patriots’ offense was one of the league’s worst in 2024, and Diggs is expected to be a major part of their turnaround. Since 2020, he ranks sixth in the NFL in receiving yards (5,868) and seventh in touchdowns (40).
He’s also hoping to shake off the “bad rap” he’s picked up throughout his career. C.J. Stroud, his quarterback in Houston, vouched for his character last season, calling out the media for painting an unfair picture.
Now in New England, Diggs has a fresh start. If his dancing is any sign, he’s not just recovering, he’s ready to bring the energy.
