Alcaraz is the defending champion, having won the title in 2024 by defeating Alexander Zverev in the final. Meanwhile, Sinner will be aiming to improve on his semifinal run from last year’s tournament.

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz’s Coaches Seen Attending on Rivals’ Matches Before French Open 2025 SF

Sinner is the top seed at the 2025 French Open, and he secured his spot in the semifinals by defeating Arthur Rinderknech, wild card Richard Gasquet, Jiří Lehečka, 17th seed Andrey Rublev, and Alexander Bublik.

Meanwhile, Alcaraz, seeded second, advanced to the semifinals by triumphing over qualifier Giulio Zeppieri, Fábián Marozsán, Damir Džumhur, 13th seed Ben Shelton, and 12th seed Tommy Paul.

Ahead of their semifinal matches, what caught the attention of many tennis fans was the presence of Sinner’s coaches, Cahill and Vagnozzi, at the quarterfinal match between Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev. Alcaraz’s coach, Ferrero, was also seen attending Sinner’s last eight match against Bublik.

Observing these matches would allow the coaches to gain insights into their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses, which could benefit Sinner and Alcaraz.

Jannik Sinner Set To Face Novak Djokovic in French Open 2025 SF, While Carlos Alcaraz Will Take On Lorenzo Musetti

Following his victory over Paul in the quarterfinals of the 2025 French Open, Alcaraz is set to face eighth seed Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals of the tournament.

Musetti secured his place in the semifinals by defeating qualifier Yannick Hanfmann, lucky loser Daniel Elahi Galán, Mariano Navone, and 10th seed Holger Rune in the first four rounds. In the quarterfinals, he overcame 15th seed Frances Tiafoe to advance to the final four, where he will go up against Alcaraz.

Alcaraz and Musetti have met six times on the ATP Tour, with the former World No. 1 winning five of those match-ups. Their most recent clash was in the semifinals of the 2025 Italian Open, where Alcaraz won 6-3, 7-6(4). He then defeated Sinner in the final, securing his seventh Masters 1000 title and 19th overall career title.

Meanwhile, Sinner will face Djokovic in the other semifinal of the 2025 French Open. The Serb defeated Mackenzie McDonald and Corentin Moutet in the first two rounds, followed by a win against qualifier Filip Misolic. He then defeated Cameron Norrie in the fourth round to reach the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, the 24-time Grand Slam champion eliminated third seed Zverev to advance to the semifinals, where he will compete against Sinner.

Djokovic and Sinner have faced each other eight times on the ATP Tour, with each player winning four matches. Their most recent match-up was in the final of the 2024 Shanghai Masters, where the three-time Grand Slam champion triumphed with a score of 7-6(4), 6-3, claiming his fourth Masters 1000 singles title.
