Jessica Pegula recently shared the most romantic thing she has done for her husband, Taylor Gahagen. The couple began dating in 2015 and got engaged in 2019.
Pegula and Gahagen originally planned to marry in October 2020, but their wedding was postponed until the following year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They eventually tied the knot in October 2021 at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

While filming fun promotional videos for the 2025 French Open, Pegula was asked about the most romantic gesture she has made for her partner. In response, the World No. 3 recalled her plan for their engagement photos to be taken in Paris.
“My husband and I got our engagement pictures done in Paris. I mean, I definitely planned that. There’s no way that he would have decided to do that. There was someone I know who was a photographer who knew a player, and I just asked her like, ‘Hey, would you by chance want to take pictures of us?'” Pegula said.
Pegula explained that the decision was spontaneous, and she didn’t even have a proper dress for the photoshoot. On the morning of the shoot, she bought a “pretty white dress,” and they took their engagement photos all over Paris.

How Did Jessica Pegula Perform at French Open 2025?
Pegula began her clay court season at the 2025 Charleston Open, defeating compatriot Sofia Kenin in the final to claim her eighth WTA Tour title and her first on clay. She then competed at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, reaching the quarterfinals before losing to Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Leading up to the 2025 French Open, the World No. 3 participated in the Madrid Open and Italian Open, reaching the third round of both tournaments before losing to Moyuka Uchijima and Elise Mertens, respectively. She then played in the 2025 Internationaux de Strasbourg, where Anna Kalinskaya defeated her in the second round.
Pegula was seeded third at the 2025 French Open, and she began her run at the clay-court Major with a victory over Anca Todoni in the first round, winning 6-2, 6-4. She then overcame fellow American Ann Li 6-3, 7-6(3) in the second round and defeated Markéta Vondroušová 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the third round. Her run ended in the fourth round with a loss to Loïs Boisson, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
Looking ahead, Pegula is expected to begin her grass court season at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships, scheduled from June 9 to June 15, 2025. The matches of the tournament will be played on outdoor grass courts at the Queen’s Club in London, United Kingdom.
In addition to Pegula, players who are expected to compete at the WTA 500 event include Madison Keys, Zheng Qinwen, Elena Rybakina, and Emma Navarro.
