WATCH: Fever Superstar Caitlin Clark Picks Up Fun Side Gig With Team While Sidelined With Injury

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark recently suffered a quad injury and will be sidelined for at least two weeks. See how she's filling her time.

WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark suffered a quad injury that will keep her out of action for at least two weeks, according to the Indiana Fever. The team will have to make do without its best player, but Clark has apparently found something to keep her occupied while she’s recovering.

Caitlin Clark Becomes Team Photographer for Fever While Out With Injury

Clark has been a force in women’s basketball since her days at Iowa, where she led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back national championship game appearances. She was named Naismith College Player of the Year each of her final two seasons, and her stardom has only grown since entering the WNBA.

Indiana selected Clark with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and she immediately took the league by storm, averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists en route to being named Rookie of the Year.

Clark was also named first-team All-WNBA, an All-Star, and finished fourth in MVP voting while leading Indiana to its first playoff appearance since 2016.

She missed time during the preseason with a quad injury to the same leg, but was off to a hot start, averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 9.3 assists in the Fever’s first four games. Head coach Stephanie White announced that veteran Sydney Colson will start in Clark’s place, but the second-year phenom hasn’t just been sitting around since suffering the injury.

ESPNW tweeted, “Meet Caitlin Clark, the photographer,” along with a video from the Fever of Clark snapping pictures during pregame of the Indiana-Washington Mystics game. The video was captioned, “Well Done CC. Caitlin Clark on photographer duty tonight.”

This came after Clark was on baby duty, walking into the area. The superstar carried the baby of Indiana assistant coaches Karima Christmas-Kelly and Austin Kelly while arriving at the game. It appears that Clark will have her hands full when she’s not rehabbing her injury.

It’s good to see that Clark is happy filling her time while she can’t play, but she could be sidelined for more than the two weeks that the Fever estimated. Former NFL doctor David J. Chao broke down Clark’s injury and used his experience to estimate that she’ll be on the shelf for at least a month.

That timeline makes Clark unavailable for Indiana’s Commissioner’s Cup games, and she would miss one game against the Chicago Sky and her archrival, Angel Reese. It’s better for Clark and Indiana that she suffered the injury early in the season, but the Fever need their best player back as soon as possible.
