Carlos Alcaraz made the crowd at Court Philippe-Chatrier sing along with him following his second round win at Roland Garros.

Carlos Alcaraz made the crowd at the French Open sing along with him during his post-match on-court interview following his second-round victory on Wednesday. Leading up to the Grand Slam tournament, Alcaraz started his clay swing by winning the 2025 Monte-Carlo Masters, defeating Lorenzo Musetti in the final.

Following that, he finished as the runner-up at the Barcelona Open. He was then scheduled to compete at the 2025 Madrid Open, but had to withdraw due to an adductor injury he sustained in Barcelona. However, he made a comeback at the Italian Open and won the ATP Masters 1000 title by defeating Jannik Sinner in the final.

Carlos Alcaraz Sings With Court Philippe-Chatrier Crowd After French Open 2R Win

Seeded second at the 2025 French Open, Alcaraz began his run at the 2025 French Open with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 victory against qualifier Giulio Zeppieri in the first round. On Wednesday, he faced Fábián Marozsán in the second round and registered a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win to advance to the third round.

Following his win against Marozsán, during his post-match on-court interview, Alcaraz engaged the spectators in the stadium by making them sing along with him. Watch the video of Alcaraz making the crowd at the French Open sing here:

Many view Alcaraz as a successor to fellow countryman and tennis legend Rafael Nadal, who won 14 Roland Garros titles. The 22-year-old is the defending French Open champion and also won the Olympic silver medal last year while competing on the hallowed clay courts.

Carlos Alcaraz Will Face Damir Džumhur in 2025 French Open 3R

Following his victory over Fábián Marozsán in the second round of the 2025 French Open, Alcaraz is set to face Damir Džumhur in the third round. Džumhur competed at the 2025 Hamburg Open, his last event before arriving in Paris, and lost 4-6, 3-6 in the first round to third seed and eventual runner-up Andrey Rublev.

Džumhur began his run at Roland Garros by defeating lucky loser Thiago Agustín Tirante, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-5 in the first round. He then overcame 31st seed Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, triumphing 7-6(4), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in the second round matchup to advance to the third round, where he will face Alcaraz.

Alcaraz and Džumhur have never faced each other on the ATP Tour. The winner of this match will move on to the fourth round, where they will compete against 13th seed Ben Shelton or qualifier Matteo Gigante.
