“Her Family Is Mine Too”: Stefanos Tsitsipas on Paula Badosa’s Family

Since beginning their relationship in 2023, Tsitsipas and Badosa have faced a brief split in 2024. However, they soon reconciled, and their bond has only strengthened since then.
The couple frequently shares the highlights from their lives on social media, documenting them through intriguing pictures and clips.

The Greek and the Spaniard recently sat down for an interview with In Sports, offering interesting insights into their relationship. Tsitsipas was later asked to recall the day he met Badosa’s parents, an experience he loved speaking about.

“Yes, it was a warm moment. Family is sacred to me, and when you share it with someone, it’s a sign of trust. Her family is mine too, they’re a lot of fun, and they’re all interesting characters, and whenever we spend time together, I feel like they’re my own people,” he said.

The 26-year-old referred to Badosa’s parents as his second family and spoke highly of their humble, modest, and genuine demeanor.

“What I like about Paula’s family is how humble, modest, genuine, hospitable and simple people they are. Something that’s very important to me. Knowing that my second family is like that gives me a very nice feeling,” he added.

When Stefanos Tsitsipas Lauded Paula Badosa’s Father for His Unwavering Support

Another moment when Stefanos Tsitsipas spoke highly of Paula Badosa’s parents occurred during his run at the Barcelona Open. During a candid ATP interview, Tsitsipas revealed that Paula Badosa’s father, Josep Badosa, might just be his biggest supporter on tour, praising his enthusiasm.

“Josep Badosa, Paula’s father. He keeps wearing this Team Tsitsipas just everywhere he goes. There is this one t-shirt that I gave him, he just wears it everywhere,” Stefanos Tsitsipas said.

Badosa has been managing a back injury since 2023, when a stress fracture disrupted her tour. The injury flared up again in 2025, forcing her to withdraw from the fourth round against Alexandra Eala at the Miami Open. She subsequently pulled out of the Madrid Open and the Italian Open. The Spaniard is currently competing at the Internationaux de Strasbourg, where she has reached the quarterfinals.

Tsitsipas, meanwhile, last competed at the 2025 Italian Open, facing a second-round exit after falling to thirteenth seed, Arthur Fils 6-2, 4-6, 2-6. The Greek currently holds a 17-10 win-loss record in 2025, with his best being a triumphant run at the Dubai Duty Free Championship.
