Leylah Fernandez Shares Behind the Scenes of Her Photoshoot

Fernandez most recently competed in both the singles and doubles events at the 2025 Italian Open. She was seeded 24th in the singles draw and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. In her opening match, she delivered a strong performance, defeating qualifier Antonia Ružić with a score of 6-4, 6-0. However, her run came to an end in the third round, where she faced Marta Kostyuk and lost 4-6, 2-6.

In the doubles event, Fernandez teamed up with Yulia Putintseva. The duo started their campaign on a high note, triumphing over the pair of Makoto Ninomiya and Xu Yifan with a score of 6-3, 6-2 in the first round. Their run was cut short in the second round, where they were defeated by the third-seeded team of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini, with a close score of 4-6, 6-4, [7-10].

Following the conclusion of her campaign at the Italian Open, Leylah Fernandez took to social media to share a delightful video from her Lululemon photoshoot. In the video, she humorously admitted that she struggled to maintain a serious demeanor for even five minutes during the shoot.

“Throwback to this @lululemon shoot because I feel like dancing, singing, goofing around and wearing cute outfits 💁🏽‍♀️🎀🤪,” Fernandez captioned her Instagram post.

Leylah Fernandez to Next Compete at Internationaux De Strasbourg 2025

Following the conclusion of her campaign at the 2025 Italian Open, Leylah Fernandez is set to compete next at the Internationaux de Strasbourg. The WTA 500 clay court tournament will take place from May 18 to May 24, 2025, on the outdoor clay courts of the Tennis Club de Strasbourg in France.

Along with Fernandez, players such as Paula Badosa, Emma Navarro, Danielle Collins, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Anna Kalinskaya, Elina Svitolina, and Daria Kasatkina, among others, will also compete in the clay court tournament.

In 2024, Fernandez defeated Anastasia Potapova with a score of 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3 in the first round of the Internationaux De Strasbourg. However, her run at the tournament came to an end in the second round, where she was eliminated by fifth seed Liudmila Samsonova, who won 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Leylah Fernandez will look to use the WTA 500 clay court tournament in France as a preparatory tournament for the 2025 French Open, a Grand Slam event in which she reached the third round last year.

In that tournament, she triumphed over Wild Card Jessika Ponchet and Wang Xiyu in the first and second rounds, respectively, before being defeated by Ons Jabeur in the third round.
