Fantasy Kicker Rankings Week 16: Must starts, sleepers, busts

For those who faced Alvin Kamara in their fantasy football championship this week, it is probably irrelevant who your kicker is today. However, for those who still have a chance of winning a title in Week 16, our fantasy kicker rankings bring you the top kickers for Week 16.

Week 16 Fantasy Kicker Rankings: Top 5 must-starts and streamers

1) Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills
2) Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
3) Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons
4) Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
5) Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs

Tyler Bass probably won’t be in the running for Rookie of the Year. However, the former Georgia Southern kicker is having an impressive debut season for the Buffalo Bills.

Bass has kicked 46 of 48 extra points and added 27 completed field goals. As a result, he is averaging 9.5 points per game and has a favorable matchup against the New England Patriots this week. Therefore he is a must-start and heads our Week 16 fantasy kicker rankings.

Although Mason Crosby hasn’t figured prominently in our fantasy kicker rankings, he is set to be one of the top kickers in Week 16. Crosby hasn’t missed a single field goal in 2020 and has hit 50 extra points. Although his 7.6 fantasy points per game aren’t amongst the highest, a matchup with the Tennessee Titans should ensure points.

Younghoe Koo (11.5), Justin Tucker (8.5), and Harrison Butker (8.6) have been consistently high fantasy scorers in 2020. Therefore, they have to be considered must-starts each week and will always be found near the top of any fantasy kicker rankings.

Week 16 Fantasy Kicker Rankings: Rodrigo Blankenship rounds out the top 10

6) Rodrigo Blankenship, Indianapolis Colts
7) Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears
8) Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams
9) Joey Slye, Carolina Panthers
10) Brandon McManus, Denver Broncos

The Indianapolis Colts face the Pittsburgh Steelers this week in a matchup that gives Rodrigo Blankenship the opportunity to add to his already impressive rookie season. Moreover, Blankenship has become a cult figure in the NFL already, and his fifth-highest fantasy points total amongst kickers catapults him to one of the top kickers in our Week 16 fantasy kicker rankings.

Trusting a Chicago Bears kicker with your fantasy championship on the line may feel like risky business. However, there is good reason why Cairo Santos features amongst the top kickers in our Week 16 fantasy rankings. Santos is averaging 7.8 points per game, having missed just three totals kicks in 2020. A matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars should provide plenty of opportunity for points.

Matt Gay, Joey Slye, and Brandon McManus finish off the top 10. Despite missing nine kicks in 2020, Slye has been one of the friendliest fantasy kickers all season, with an average of 8.5 per game. It’s purely a numbers game for Slye as the Carolina Panthers have attempted amongst the league’s most field goals this season.

Tier 2: Week 16 Kicker Rankings

11) Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks
12) Aldrick Rosas, Jacksonville Jaguars
13) Nick Folk, New England Patriots
14) Stephen Gostkowski, Tennessee Titans
15) Dustin Hopkins, Washington Football Team

Tier 3: Week 16 Kicker Rankings

16) Cody Parkey, Cleveland Browns
17) Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers
18) Ka’imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans
19) Randy Bullock, Cincinnati Bengals
20) Michael Badgley, Los Angeles Chargers
21) Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles
22) Sam Ficken, New York Jets
